I watched other youtubers play this game with voice and I also watched the anime that was made after the game. The anime revised a bit so imo it's more put together than the game. If you think maya is annoying now then she continues to be as time goes on. She asks obvious questions and repeats things said as a question. She's not annoying in the anime. Maya was born in a small town and was forced to do spiritual training most of her life so she wasn't allowed to leave. So she doesn't know as much about the outside world.
