46:35 Quiz must be somehow messed up, because the city where you clicked is called Bydgoszcz. Bialystok is completely other side, and it's in northeast (Podlaskie voivodship). But the fact that the quiz accepted it, is kinda funny 😆

if a city is on the border, you can click on the city itself and it gives you a buffer when it's non obvious which tile it's in, it wasn't working for you because you were clicking the center of squares, probably good practice to just click on the city when you know it

That's odd - the coordinates in the quiz are correct for Angarsk (in Irkutsk) yet it said his click was within 2km...I'll have to check that out! Edit: this has been fixed (would happen occasionally with other cities too)

There are ~145 Chinese cities with 1+ million. Just surviving that round would be an accomplishment...especially since he doesn't need that for GeoGuessr. For the other quizzes, most of Jake's struggles came at the 100-250k level. I know approximately where a lot of cities are, but I would have struggled figuring out the exact grid o a lot of them. Like Jake, I would have been annoyed by North Carolina and the Ruhr Valley. I am a little better with NC now, only because I spent a couple of minutes figuring it out. I instinctively want Winston-Salem to be further south and Wilmington to be further north. I would still struggle with the smaller cities like Cary, High Point, or Kannapolis. Inland Empire cities in California would mix me up and I've actually been through parts of it a dozen times. For small talk purposes, knowing that Essen is a Ruhr city is sufficient without knowing where it is relative to Duisburg or Dortmund. Jake continues to impress.

Bro I love these videos, keep it up. It wasn't really relevant in this video but I do wish you would play without a timer. To me, it's not "can he do it fast" but can he do it at all. It allows you to test the depth of your knowledge, not your recall. That, I find, is what's most impressive. You often spend a long time saying "Oh god" or "My time!", when really I wouldn't mind if you were able to explain what you were thinking about, rather than pretty much just naming places when in time trouble.

What you thought it was the city of Barcelona it was the Airport. l'Hospitalet is inside thet triangle of roads just north of where you clicked but since it was within 2km of the exact point where you clicked it was accepted (I assume)

Neither Düsseldorf nor Wuppertal are in the Ruhr area, Jake ;) Düsseldorf is Rheinland, Wuppertal is Bergisches Land. Both close to the Ruhrgebiet, but neither inside of it.
