Japanese people are excellent craftsmen and they make excellent guitars 🎸 I have many of them and I love them all ! The most perfect BLOOD OX STRAT EVER MADE WAS IN MATSUMOTO JAPAN AND IN THE 1980’s The quality was nearly perfect 👍 the one I own has a solid swamp ash body and a rock maple neck with a maple fretboard and the ceramic pickups are so great my professional musician son tells me out of my hundred plus guitar collection the JAPANESE STRAT WE CALL BLOOD OX IS BEST! My son can play guitar like VAN HALEN NO BS!

I've only played Japanese built Ibanez, ESP and Jackson models which were all fantastic. I've never played an MIJ Fender. As soon as I saw the Gotroh bridge came standard on the guitar in the video I knew it was good. I would take a Gotoh over an OFR floyd any day.@@thomask9577

Compared to Caparison or MIJ ESP models, the Vola models are not that expensive. Hell, the ESP E-II models have gone so much up in price lately it's insane, the E-II Horizons II with OFR go for over 3,000 Euros ( the EMG loaded models) over here in Europe, that is if you can actually find one in stock... But yeah, the times when you could get a MIJ Ibanez Prestige, ESP Standard Series or Jackson for reasonable prices are sadly long gone.

Darrell I love your demonstrations as always. I like the simplistic electronic control features and the various tones that this guitar has to offer. The only thing is as you did mention, is the color. The lime green is just so not me. This guitar in all black (matte or gloss), or some sort of "Gibsony" dark burst? Now we're talkin'!

The Gotoh Floyd is so damn good. The saddles are rounded, fine tuners angled back so they're not in the way, and Japanese made quality. Companies should really replace their Floyd 1000's with the Gotoh Floyd. Absolutely superior and cheaper too. I can buy one as a replacement part for $120, the only problem is that you have to drill new bridge stud holes because the Gotoh is thicker so it would be nice if guitars would just come with the Gotoh from the factory.

From 2:49-2:51 what is all the stuff at the very end of the fret board. is that where the stain didn’t reach the possible maple fretboard? Or is that polishing compound on an actual Ebony neck?

Great playing! How is the neck? Since it's only available online and you can't try it in person how is the neck compared to brands like ESP, Ibanez, and Jackson guitar? Is it similar to any of them? Would very much appreciate it if you could give us an idea of what the neck feels like so we aren't going in completely blind purchasing it? Also, how is the heel access can you comfortably reach the 24 frets? It is an awesome guitar. Keep up the good work!

The sound right at the start reminded me of an ibanez rg. Interesting that it looks very much like an ibanez s series to me, but the frets remind me of an esp. Always good to have another mij option.

I have two Volas and they are great!! Super strange Vola is using nickel frets on this as most of their guitars use SS.

The thing about the Vola guitars is they have not a single competitor that offers more value for money. If they had perhaps one or two high profile artist play their guitars' they would own the market. I am rather amazed the took so long to get into the Floyd market. If they did that with one of their entry level models they would get any up and coming stars. Add to that their slightly quirky looks would be loved instead of being a factor of resistance to massive amount of players. They could because of their look simple put a Floyd on current models as they have a tomorrow look and without heavy R&D knock some socks off!!!

beautiful guitar, the price breakdown is prohibited for me, I cannot buy any more gear unless its a straight investment, which usually relegates me to vintage gear, every now and then I can spring fora new oh medium to low end instrument but then I catch it for the fact there's no room for any more.. so one has to go first that the rule while under said contract I agreed into, arguing I was under duress when contract was agreed upon does me little to no good arguing in any way shape or form, or that's how it was put tome, I was also learned I'd lose even if I got a lawyer, Id lose them all! so $1300 before tax an shipping will be $1500 is too steep for me, no way with its appointments and specs i can argue its going up in price, in fact she schools me on how its going to break in half soon as I open the box .. still looking for workarounds tho

For that kind of money I'd go the charvel route and have change left. Not to say it isn't striking, its a wonderful colour and does look exceptionally well executed. Great vid though sir, you're playing always sounds epic!

Using drive, I could not, in this audio, discern any difference whatsoever between the different pickup configs; clean tones showed off the different configurations dramatically, though.
