Saw one of these originally on Intheblues and it looked and sounded great. Definitely going to keep the old peepers peeled for these in the future. The red is gorgeous too!

God how much this guitar screams!! I love the high end!! But let’s just say I never watch a video for the gear!! That’s just a bonus!! I come for the playing and the divine tones that summon the gods and titans to this realm!!

I own one, it’s an awesome tone and sustain machine, it’s really stratty - not too bright (I just roll the tone down a notch) and very reliable, a tone bleed will be a future mod. The only thing I’d like is slightly bigger frets.

Right up my alley....sounds like ceramic magnets all round... and 500k pots !!! Too bright?... that's what that Tone control is for ;-)

It takes a single extra resistor to do the electronics the right way where the pickups are balanced with a 500k pot.

Love the clean playing section, dirty playing at the beginning is instant Satriani: Absolutely love it. Nice sounding guitar, I like the top end in the tone. Shame they don't offer a left handed variant

That guitar needs a 473k resistor from both hot wires of the single coils to ground. Its amazing how few companies understand how to wire an HSS guitar properly.

IV'E been digging there t style 7 string w/swamp ash body - 24 frets - trem - made in Japan - they do have a bright cutting sound to them which is not a bad thing - eq accordingly at amp or pedals

Hey Rabea...I get it if you don't ...oh man, I was typing while listening to the beginning of this video, and was going to ask about Vola Guitars, and was going to say that I've seen Joss Allen playing them, and now I see you are covering them in one of your videos...and then less than a minute in you mention him...going to watch to see what you have to say...thanks in advance for the video, and hope you and yours are doing good.

Listening through decent headphones and I'm hearing so much fizz when you dig in. Not sure if that is the guitar or the signal chain.
@EmtonGuitars3 жыл бұрын
Sometimes when I do a quick master for a video, it does the same trying to bring just the guitar up to loudness. That combined with the treble content will give a ton of fuzz I think.
@LuxTheSlav3 жыл бұрын
I've never heard a guitar more in need of some lower value pots. Maybe 250k would be too dark, but currently it's earbleed inducing.
@willrayment95443 жыл бұрын
Don't know how they have wired those pickups but sounds like they have put a 500k pot for volume for the bridge and it's made the neck and middle bright. Might be wrong 🤷♂️ Awesome demo dude!

The tones were interesting but I just have a hard time imagining when I would want to use this guitar vs a strat OR a more modern guitar. What is the real applicability?
@RabeaMassaad3 жыл бұрын
I guess some people prefer variants of the classic selection? Like people play suhr, or Tom Anderson, exotic, Chapman etc etc there are sooo many variants of basically the original dozen or so guitar designs. The Vola stuff I think took a bigger step with the shapes of their guitars. In essence it’s the same vibe as a lot of other stuff, so it’s down to if you prefer the design and vibe, and supporting a smaller brand etc.
@valebliz3 жыл бұрын
The simple fact fender doesn’t really offer SS frets makes me avoid them in favor of similar alternatives equipped differently. There you go.
@RabeaMassaad3 жыл бұрын
@@valebliz yeah that’s a prime example! Some people love modern specs on a classic looking guitar etc. So other brands provide that, then if the shape isn’t doing it for you either, other brands provide that too hahah
@EmtonGuitars3 жыл бұрын
@@valebliz that’s fair! Though I’m getting my strat re-fretted and that puts an American strat roughly in the price range of this guitar after updates ($1900-ish). Plus you retain resale.
@EmtonGuitars3 жыл бұрын
@@RabeaMassaad oh for sure. The body is definitely distinct. I guess more of what I meant is in what context or genre are these tones better/more applicable than a strat or a more modern guitar (which is all subjective of course - so my comment is pointless). The barkiness/brightness is just a little bit odd to my ears.

I've never owned a Fender Strat that I haven't had to replace the pickups to my personal preference. Accepting that, for $1100 US, how does this guitar compare to the baseline Fender Strat. Was the fit and finish equal to an Elite, Professional, Player, MIM. Basically is it worth $1100 knowing you're going to have to replace the pickups? Thanks and I always appreciate your videos.
