I just paid $15999 for a private stock and I have no regrets .. it makes my otherwise amazing 10 top feel ordinary by comparison, and that's saying a lot!

Its truly a beautiful guitar. I've played many PRS guitars in my time. But, I've never owned any. Despite being wonderful instruments to play, the tone of PRS guitars never appealed to my ear. I can definitely understand why many players like the tone of a PRS. But, its not for me. On a side note, the craftsmanship of a PRS guitar is really quite good. Of the "major" brands, I would put PRS in at the top in terms of quality.

Not to be hasty, but I wonder which actual musicians are playing those private stock guitars? They seem to be luxury goods like LV bags rather than instruments that you would connect and make music with. If you want to go down the PRS route, a regular core model, which is still overpriced at almost 5k, would be more than enough for any player.

Ultimately the music is in your fingers , not the fancy wood finish and hardware. Paul sells beautiful art objects and not necessarily music makers. Music is in your fingers. Albeit, they are beautiful.

Beautiful Guitar Jewel like . Paul's Guitar on Steroids. Modern Eagle V would be another option . To me PRS have there place. Love Fender and Gibson and I do owe quite a few PRS's. I personally love them as well. I almost went with The Mclaughlin but settled for 594 Private Stock HB to go along with my Modern Eagles including the V which I love. HB II with Piezo so I'm good with the PRS.

First PRS that I've heard without the dreaded midrange spike that feels like someone is drilling a hole in my head. I've owned two and sold them at a loss because I couldn't make them sound good. Well, this one is different. So different I went and bought one. I love it and am very happy that it's a John McLaughlin signature guitar. It's worth the money.

I hope this helps. I owned a PRS with similar switches. I believe that's a pickup selector in the rear. Next we have a Master Tone. In between we have two mini-toggle switches, one for bridge pickup coil split, the next for neck pickup coil split. Lastly is the master Volume.

@@roymartin500 Thanks so much - more or less what I have on my PRS SE Custom, then. I just wondered if, seeing JM does run a synth from time to time, that the electronics might be a bit different. P.S. FWIW the first time I saw JM live was Auckland Town Hall late 70's (L. Shankar on Violin, Stu Goldberg and I think (?) Marcus Miller et al). Have seen him on every visit to Hong Kong since - the Maestro!

Hi There, The PRS John McLaughlin features Volume & Tone controls with a 3-Way Toggle Pickup Switch and Two Mini-Toggle EQ Switches which work as high-pass filters. Hope this helps!

So as an investment piece I don't know .. is anything these days with the way prices have gone .. But probably a beautiful guitar to play .. 15 grand beautiful.. Crazy price, many people are struggling to survive, yet these guitar companies are just taking the pee constantly upping the price, doubt it sound or play better than any other Provate Stock. I love PRS guitars but this is just ridiculous, plus what will the resale value be, I'm guessing less than half. But Fender are doing it too with masterbuilt and gibson too, next thing it will be over six grand for a fender custom shop. Conclusion, not worth it, unless you've got more money than sense. Instead get a players grade fender strat Thank me later!

Вот это Prs, звук один чего стоит. Вроде бы это любимая гитара Сантаны. 14 штук фунтов стерлингов умножаем на 3 получаем всего 42 000 баксов. Нормально. Вот это гитара. Пилят а звук это что то потрясающее. Вот это звук вот это настрой. Ух, пилят. Были бы деньги отвечаю, купил бы в лет, такую гитару. Вот это уже Не палка. А ГИТАРА. звук у него какой то своеобразный что ли изящный, какой то. Свой. Да, дорого. Но оно этого стоит. Люди не шарящие в гитарах, могут сказать что и 1000 долларов, для них это оооооочччень дорого. А тут целых 42 штуки да ещё не в рублях а баксах. Это 2 ве однокомнатные квартиры в Астане на левом берегу, дома где то 2015 или 2016 года постройки. Как то Так. Или Самри 70 ка, или 50 ка новая. Нормально так.
