Quick edit, this was made before the HK-419 Buffs, and the HK-419 is a higher skill version of this weapon, more recoil more DPS, it has a firerate of 825 with the exact same damage as the AK74

Isn't concerning that (at least on EU server) 95% of my death are to pure meta high DPS weapons? Like I actually cheer to the person who kills me with something like an Ak5c or something unique like the pp19, but today's community just seems to be flocking in masses to the most top 5 op weapons and nothing else... it's getting very stale, I am lvl 200 pres1, and I try to always play the game in a different creative way, I'd die of boredom if I constantly kept picking the same top 3 op weapons and just gun it up balls to the wall senselessly, let me know what you guys think, no toxicity needed in the replies

@@PlayerAfricanChieften Welcome to multiplayer gaming. It’s not concerning to me because this is how it has always worked. I feel the same way that it would be boring to play that way don’t get me wrong. I’m still working through all of them. Every time I pick a gun I’m dedicated to unlocking all the main attachments for it (usually up to the last barrel), whether I hate it or love it. After that’s done I’ll probably settle on a few in each class. Anyway for me, personally, over time it comes down to genuinely learning to not care what other people are using. You will never control it, so I only care that the off-meta weapons are within a usable distance of the meta weapons. I think right now Battlebit has this, you can perform with the majority of the guns if you play to their strengths. You will always do 5,10, maybe even 15% better if you chose the meta guns but that’s a trade off I will take for variety and fun. As long as it doesn’t get to the point of 2-3 guns that are just a solid 40% better and everything else is useless, it’s OK. I don’t even look at what the gun I was killed by was 9/10 times now, unless it’s a sniper so I know to double check long sight lines and weird angles before I go back. I learn each gun I want to have fun with, and I’m only competing with me. I feel my consistency go up as I get attachments and get a feel for a playstyle, and just do better than last time.

try out slip scope with vert grip and tactical barrel with this gun, can really beam people at a great distance with very little recoil - great for new players and people who have a hard time seeing people on some maps and/or just want an easier time with mid range gunfights

Hey mate, just watched whole vid it was really well done, i enjoyed the live gameplay especially... its good to see what you are thinking and why you make certain decisions, very insightful. My gameplay is just "take the enemy head on, best aim wins" where as you are much more calculated and quite often get the advantage in shooting first through good map usage. Ill be checking out your other vids for sure - You killed me 2x on one map it was funny to see haha cheers

Must've seen me in the comment section a few times! hahaha, great guide once again, pretty much everything you said was spot on. To me, The AK74 is a switchblade knife, can really compete anywhere, yes mid to long range is ideal but if you can hit head shots, up close its downright lethal. a tip would be to do your 3 shot kill in reverse order, instead of headshot first, i find if you start shooting at the middle of their chest and "slack up" on your recoil control if you will, youll basically just ding em twice in the chest and the recoil will take you up to headshot range and its over with. Also if you spawn in with your squad sniper, switch it to semi auto and lay down some great long range supressing fire & even take out some pesky fellas with their DMR's. I've given every AR i unlock a fair shake but I always end up back with my trusty AK. I did end up grinding out the AUG, got the long + heavy barrels and ive concluded it still is a niche gun, mid to long range its an absolute beast, short range just give up, that ROF just continuously lets me down, even hitting headshots. I made a foray into trying out the SG550 again after that, incredibly accuracy but I find anything that has below a 30 damage profile just ends up in more hitmarkers + Assists that count as death than anything, SG550 has same ROF as the AK too, and given how manageable the recoil is on the AK.. why wouldnt I just use that instead right? so again I go back. Until I unlock the HK419 i dont think there will be another AR I use.. even the M4 i find the recoil to be much harder to control then the AK with the increased ROF. Pound for pound gotta be within the top 5 "Best all around" guns in the game, doesnt do anything tremendously, but does it all pretty damn good. Great guide again, you earned a sub on the last one!

Off-topic but do you run for max movement speed/ADS speed for characters, or would you run ranger for a class like medic for more mags?

I recently switched to AK74 to finish leveling it up and was taken aback by how bad it actually is damage-wise and range-wise. For me it's C tier at best. But yes, it is good if you hit headshots. If not, tough luck.

Massive skill issue. Ak74 is insanely accurate... damage is also upper end for assault rifles. Quit yappin

Heavy/long barrel and vertical grip Barrel bumps the damage to 4 shooting 125hp enemies (ranger armor) I also recommend slip 2x scope or a 3x of your choice

But why does it pause before firing or just not firing even when loaded? Having a hell of a time just reloaded find some folks in my x hair and click ... Nothing ... I'm dead. Wtf?

the hk419 shoots 880 rpm making it a lot faster shooting than the ak74. I dont know if you made this before the update or forgot about it. prolly put that in there for engagement so people would post... well done.

I feel like attachments in this game are too limited, for different playstyles you def need to find your own attachments whether your a close or medium range player then you ofc have options but when every gun is the same build it kinda gets boring. Attachement rework would be really welcomed negl.
