Indian community is one of the big foreigners communities in Kinshasa and Congo in general there are indian in some area you could not imagine they are there. The thing is most of indian that come here to work treat congelese people badly with a sens of superiority that what creat the hate of indians in kinshasa also there were some congelese student that were killed and folded to death by indians. Anyway Thank you Garima for these serie of your Congo trip its shows that Congo Kinshasa is a beautiful country with its goods and bads like every country in the world

Garima, Their hate is since Indians get better pay there and they don't get job because of Indians. In way, that might correct but they have to blame the employers for hiring Indians and they need to be better skilled for the employment. They must find the main cause than hating others, which will not help them.The other reason is due to presence of Indians in Congo on behalf of UN as peacekeeping force.

Ah. The second reason makes more sense to me now because the whole local politics usually revolves around that. Otherwise there would have been some effort by the ruling govt there to cool down the hate.

Not really. White people earn more than indians and they are well liked. The problem is indian caste system that they practice everywhere they go in the world. This means indians have superiority attitudes that make them hated easily

Indians think that their caste system will be accepted in Africa, the same way other indians accept it and comply, and that Africans will see them as superior but in Africa, this is not possible because of Bantu culture that believes in equality. So, instead of being seen as superior, they are hated and the hatred increases. Let us hope that what happened in Uganda will not be repeated in Congo.

We badly need them back to accelerate our growth. But they get better rewards outside so they don't want to come back. If someone like idi kicks them out that will force them back here. Normally the perception everywhere is when a foreigner wants the work to be done he gives the work along with good rewards. I think that is the reason they hate Indians.
