I wouldn’t say he destroyed you at all. Been playing VF for a long time & your Kage is really cool. You actually use most of the moveset & play him like a ninja. The back turned cartwheel- stagger into the wall throw? That was sick! Great awareness of position & creative as well.

@@hashenoneI think that is a very fair comment. Having played VF since the very first one in arcades in 1993, I would agree. Akira’s attacks are devastating at close range and the player is very skilled, but you are using Kage’s skillsets very well. It’s a bit tricky with grabs with close range. I run into this challenge a lot as I play as Sarah. Not as many throw options and don’t do as much damage but similar logic applies. I use them to “stun and stomp”, then jump over and reverse kick.

1:18 I haven't play vf for a long time, but I remember after this throw the next follow up should be instant crouching into standing knee, and then some bouncing move into finisher. I believe you're current combo is not yet optimized, you should get more damage..

Yeah, max dmg might now be throw > 336k(knee) > 623p+k p k k , much easier to do than previous versions but going safe just throw > knee > p > 66p+k > 46k+g k k+g

Not at all, that's a common thing you can do in VF5. If you hold back and continue pressing up or down, you'll do a funny back walk, every character has it.

This is called "stepping" in VF. You can do this with "G". He canceled his steps. It kinda was a taunt but i don't care. He was really good and deserved the win.

This is not for you to play with bots or set up TAS, of course you will be defeated, he destroyed you for the most difficult character to master, because to master Akira is already an achievement

@@gertruidagertruida3920 VF5 is pretty crap bro, was crap at launch too, it is a sluggish game and imo could do better if it has 8 way run like soul calibur. T7 killed tekken, adding cinematic supers, OP armour just ruined the flow of the game, T8 doubled down on it. They ruined soul calibur with the clash crap and that crap was unblockable on release too. There is a difference between adding new things to revitalise the game, like street fighter does with every game, to adding things that ruin the core function of a game. Sould calibur and tekken were my fav fighting games and now they are the worse for me. i dont even play them. I tried T8 beta for 5 mins and decided never to play it.

@@pftmclub This game is like 18 years old, re-releasing it and giving it a different name does not mean it is a new game. Capcom has been pulling the same shit since SF2. As for 8 way run being shit, you sound reta rded. Being able to move freely in a 3d game is peak, if not you are essentially playing on a 2d plane and moving in a lane rather than actually playing in a 3d environment. Been a while since I played VF5 but I remember it being clunky as shit and every other 3d game from DoA to tekken had better movement options. VF is still stuck with mechanics from the saturn.
