A couple of things- DPR tried to solicit a murder for hire and was "successful" in the sense that the FBI were the ones he solicited it from and they actually "went through" with it in terms of making it appear like they had murdered the person and sent him proof. He was never charged with murder or attempted murder for various technical legal reasons but this was (correctly) used as an aggravating factor when it came to his sentencing because it was demonstrative that he was a serious threat to the community. There was an exchange of cryptocurrency and everything. The silk road case has a lot of fuckery most foul involved but when it comes to THAT DPR did that on his own and he's paying the price for it. Second, it doesn't take a genius to figure out what happened here. He did the same thing to the people he bought CP from as he did companies. He hacked them and sole everything that wasn't nailed down. Instead of making it available for purchase he just socked it away for the day he knew he was going to get caught. When he got caught he said "I'd like to make a deal" and offered all of that information in exchange for this extremely favorable deal. At the end of the day there's always a bigger fish and the FBI would rather have all that information on multiple CP distributors/producers than pom. It doesn't make him a good guy and we don't have to feel great about it, but honestly I'd rather them take down the distributors.

If he violates it he just has to complete his 15 years minus the time he's been out. He would be sent to Federal prison, which is not as rough as state prison (not to say its easy, it's still tough). Also federal prison sentences don't have parole. They can get time reduced for good behavior. They can earn 54 days a year off their time. So 15 years can be reduced to around 12 years 9 months. After his release, he would be on supervised release for the remaining 20 years. So say he spent 2 years out, nut then violated and had to go to prison. With good behavior, he'd do around 10 years 9 months. He'd be released and would be on supervised release for around 7 years. If he violated, he would have to go to prison for 7 years minus however long he's been out

Raidforums was incredibly influential for me at a young age , not in a good way. I think in 2016-2017 (peak of raid forums) I was apart of atleast 10 different "delete system32" raids being one of the "moderators" giving instructions during my time on the site. Even worse that I got tutored by older gents on how to use Tor and how to Dox/Ddos amongst other things, I basically had all these skillsets under my fingertips and me being a 15 year old punk, knowing that stuff at that age is like giving a gun to a toddler. I was saved by grace when my computer was fried, and I never bothered getting another one as I was happy playing on my PS4 for another year and a half. Which was good because it made me push away that anti-social behaviour. God knows what would've happened if I stuck around with those people for any longer , and I am glad I walked away from that type of lifestyle. I do know for sure I would not reach a level of degeneracy that "Conor" reached.
