If you are in doubt if someone is dying. Check the eyes before they follow the soul, they stare into blank space, this stare can be there for days. This is why doctors open the eyes and shine a light to see. And Subhana Allah even if the eyes are closed open them and see for yourself. When one is not using to strong sedatives their eyes will indeed open to follow the soul when it leaves the body. And the blank stare will be gone; And yes the stare when following the soul is up, but not straight up it’s almost a 90 degree angle or a bit more.

Hello! I found this Hadith interesting and I thought I should share it with everyone. Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه) reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: “He who recites in the morning and in the evening (these words):” ‘سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ‏ - Subhan’Allah wa bihamdihi (Allah is free from imperfection and all praise is due to Him)’ 100 times, he would not bring on the Day of Resurrection anything excellent than this except one who utters these words or utters more than these words.” [Sahih Muslim 2692]
