I finally decided to admit and tell my husband about it, install porn blockers, and seek God’s and his word daily and it has got a lot easier!! Pornography has been an issue for me. One day I got an epiphany on it though. The verse that says resist the devil and he shall flee from you and the other that says that we do not wrestle with flesh and blood but rather principalities. Everytime I get the urge, I'll remember that it's not my authentic urge but rather a spirit behind the urge so I'll intentionally worship and get loud with it. I'll put on my worship playlist then just worship instead. I figure that I'm gonna use the urge as my worship trigger. I bet the devil will eventually get irritated when he realizes that instead of porn, he's triggering me to worship and I'll get rid of him on this issue once and for all. Edit: This strategy has really been working for me and now, even the urge is diminishing. That's what I envisioned and I give all glory to God. God's richest blessings on all of the amazing people in this thread. I'm really hopeful that all of us are going to break the shackles that the enemy plots to keep us bound by. In Jesus mighty name, you are all free. I'm praying for it and believing for it and as of now, I'm gonna make it my business to pray for the people under this thread. I'm not speaking for Ruth, but she said she had a nasty spirit of lust and perversion. It could be possible that she was sheltering a spirit of Jezebel within her. Demons are very real and it is possible they can inhabit us when we are at are weakest and most vulnerable, but they need a cooperative host. When you give in to lust and anger and jealousy you are cooperating with that evil spirit and giving it power over you. God gave us the power and authority over demons in the name of Jesus Christ, to cast out demons. To evict these demons requires intense, strong prayer, in the commanding authority given to us by God in the name of Jesus Christ. These demons are stubborn and they do not want to leave without a fight, it can take a very long time and many believers praying together to free someone from the grip of a demon. The demon does not want to leave, if it could it would drag you to hell, but it doesn't have that power if you tell it NO! You have to take authority given to you by God in the name of Jesus Christ, to command that spirit to leave, you have to be strong and persistent and not give up but in the name of Jesus that spirit will be commanded to leave. It is a fight, physically and spiritually, people have bled from their mouths, throats, and nose because a demon's grip is so strong, but God's power and authority is stronger, they are no match for God's power. They hate the name of Jesus Christ, demons shudder at his name. Continue praying to God for strength, take the authority that God gave you in the name of Jesus Christ, to say no to your sins, because when you say no, you take their power away, and the stronger and closer to God you will be. My last piece of advice is to read the Bible, study it, knowledge is power, God is your strength, arm yourself with God's word and put on the armor of God, attend a ministry based on the Bible and the word of God.

This was and even can be, to this day, an issue in my life. I was exposed to porn as a very young child. My stepfather had porn magazines all over my home. From the time I was in kindergarten, I knew where his hidden stashes were. Some were even in garbage bags, in plain sight, in our basement. I was looking at those on a daily basis. But, even as a young child, I realized it was wrong. I would go to great lengths to hide it. I discovered, even as a Christian, it STILL has a strong pull on my mind. I am in my mid 60's now and still have to guard my heart from this pull. The Lord has given me victory over this, but the battle was long and hard. Please brothers and sisters, I beg of you.....do not give place to this, in your life, your thoughts or your heart, for even 1 sec. It will entice, ensnare, and ultimately destroy us. I have struggled with Pornography since I was in 6th grade discovering the Internet and I am now 21 years old.. Let that sink in. I have recently came across a turning point in my life in a Bible Study about Repentance I told my friends about the addiction and how it feels like I’m in chains and a slave and it’s an endless cycle I can’t escape and I balled my tears out. I would watch porn and immediately after feel shame and try to hide from God mentally and felt like I couldn’t come to him because I kept making the same mistake again over again. I believe the Holy Spirit was moving in that Bible Study and the funny part is our college is religious and we had a week called “Revival” for the school where they had services. I believe this was the Holy Spirit saving me and finally making me realize what I was doing to my soul and how I literally have a girlfriend where we are a year together and I can’t keep doing this to her. I saw it as If I continue I will lose her and eventually myself. I am happy to announce I am officially starting my journey to breaking this cycle and renewing my relationship with Jesus so he can break my chains and set me free cause the truth is nobody can help me break this except for God ❤️ I can do this!

When you desire sex it's a pretty good indicator that you're ACTUALLY desiring connection. After giving up ALL drugs (caffeine, THC, alcohol, nicotine, extra sugar, and masturbation. ALL AT ONCE, btw) I had to learn to identify what I actually needed to feel or aknowledge when I would get a craving. What I've learned is that drugs of whatever sort are like a snooze button. Instead of actually seeing what's really in front of you, you hit snooze and it stays hidden. Now I can recognize what it's really about and I talk with His Majesty about it. I literally was able to overcome the addiction of watching Pornography and doing things that are not of my age byjust listening to the Holy Spirit's command. I was reading my Bible yesterday, a heavenly thought came up onto and whispered "You should not have Sex if you're not married." I literally had to do more research as to which Bible verses speak about these. I googled about this, found blogs that say it is permitted to have sex before marriage and it is not a sin. I decided to ignore that blog, moved to the other one and I found solid facts on what I was searching. My eyes were opened and I was able to tell myself that I'm no longer gonna walk on that path ever again!

I was exposed to porn at a very young age through magazines, that was before most of the digital media we have nowadays, and I've constantly been struggling with it throughout most of my life, there are times when I can go for weeks, but suddenly, the urge just comes back, and it's sad because it's not something I enjoy doing, and most of the time it comes with self pleasure.. I've become better at controlling it recently.. But it's always looming around in the back of my mind..

Lord Jesus broke the chain of pornography for me in June, 2017. Like Job, I have that "covenent with my eyes". I'll look away from women I'm attracted to, cuz I KNOW where it will lead. Just last week, I stumbled, and clicked on the WRONG site for the first time in 4 years. The experience was brief, but overwhelmingly powerful. ALL the old tapes began to run in my mind. I asked Lord Jesus to PLEASE pull me back from the edge of SURE DESTRUCTION. He did. I stumbled, but did NOT fall ONLY by the wonderful GRACE of Lord Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. I am soooooooooooooo very, VERY GRATEFUL to have a personal relationship with Lord Jesus. He is my ONLY hope!! God Bless you ALL. (If you are a pornography addict, as I was, GET AWAY FROM IT!! Pornography is poison to the spirit!!).

I really really need to get out of this. Me and my girlfriend have been struggling bad. I hate that this is my struggle but I have to deal with it. The problem is… I can’t seem to get out and I am in a constantly loop. As soon as I let my guard down EVERYTHING comes crashing down. I need help. I need Jesus. Please, if you’re seeing this, pray for me and my girlfriend. I don’t want to be like this for the rest of my life.

Im 43 have been a believer for 23yrs....i cant get pornography out of my life. Please pray for me. Im married and have 2 great sons and a wonderful wife. I dont want to look at it, but i always do. Usually once a week. Im helpless against it. I fold, even moments after praying or reading the bible.

The problem is that we are always counting on God’s mercy. Stop expecting mercy. Expect punishment. Count on God’s vengeance, not on his compassion. Until one begins to truly fear God their chances of prevailing against this soul-destroying sin remain dim. IMHO

@@chachisuave3470 There are lots of questions to answer at once. I'll do my best though. In today's age of "hook up" culture we have lost the ability pair bond for the protection of children. As well in today's age the thought of making a family is divorced from a marriage, it was never so in the past. In these new waters discernment is key but I'm no judge of a weak moment as a single guy. No easy answers but always happy to have a chat and work it out 👍💪
