Please, i provided family member bank statement for my i-20. So on my i-20 it is partly scholarship and family sponsor. But i ended up picking up a loan to cover up the cost. Please do i need to update my i-20 to loan or maintain it and go for the interview with the loan letter?

please, my program is a 2-year program, And the school requests that I only need to show proof of funds for the first year to get an I-20. Do I still need to show proof of fund for the second year?

Visa officers do ask "how do you intend to pay this loan whiles you're studying"

That is one of the tricky questions they ask to see whether you understand the terms of F1 visa . Coz F1 visa is meant for study and not work, so whatever you answer don't include work like "working while studying so as to pay back your loan". This might be a red flag and it may cost you.
