After watching this, it reminded me my '88 T Coupe, in the barn collection, blew out both of it's rear tail lights when it got to a crazy 20 below last year. Weird the plastic just broke out of the center. So today got busy and very lucky to find another set pretty cheap. The headlights are getting crazy expensive, like $300.00. each. The T bird specific parts are getting hard to find. It was a great car and has 273,000 miles but is ready for a rebuild. People don't believe it but it has the original turbo and clutch. I highway commuted it 130 miles a day for years, 2 stops.

@@carlspackler91 It had a 5.0 and console shift. I bought it from a used car lot for 2.000 in the day. White with grey interior. It had a emblem on the right side of the trunk that said turbo coupe. It's very possible that the previous owner could have put it on. I remember stepping in on the gas pedal and the rear-end was light and would fishtail. Since there was no convertible in 89 we reinforced the the car and cut top off and rolled the interior out and put trim around the edges to hold the interior in place. I painted it taxi cab orange and shot house of kolor orange and gold metal flake in the clear came out a burnt orange. I'm very positive it had a 5.0 I've built car's all my life

I owned a '86 Cougar. It had the metric wheels Michelin made the only tire available. I remember installingtamper-proof security screws through the tail light lenses because they were being stolen frequently. I had a 97 Mark VIII that had too many issues so I got rid of it but I'm thinking about doing something like this Bird to a first gen Mark VIII which I like the body style better than the gen 2. I know some think that's an old man's car but hey, I am an old man and I still want to have a hot rod Lincoln even though my first one was a messed up rust bucket that "everything" was wrong with. I had a 85 T-Bird but like the 87 & 88 much better.
