I love shot 3! That’s my pick. I would definitely not be happy driving with the wall thickness on those holes for the seats though, the threads would get ripped straight out god forbid you’re in a collision. I would’ve just drilled all the way through with an 8mm bit and user a longer m8 bolt, washer and nylock nut on the other side👍🏻

Fixed back seat, shoulder straps are mounted at the correct height to a dedicated harness bar, and a full cage fitted as well, minimising the risk of roof/A-pillars caving in on a rollover and crushing his head whilst harnessed in. No anti submarine strap, but this can be mitigated by correctly setting up the 4 point harnesses

With the hole for the seats I would drill through the box section and run longer bolts through to the other side and use nyloc nuts. They won't be going anywhere then!

I work as a machinist and u need about 3 threads to get the complete strength of the bolt holding it down. So i would recommend either getting a longer bolt that goes all the way through with a nut on the back or welding another plate so u can get in a couple more threads. The cupra is sick btw!!

Not sure if you use or not but should definitely use a tapping lubricant when tapping holes like that. Catches the swarf + reduces risk of snapping the tap. Of course depends how deep a hole you are tapping

General rule of thumb is whatever M the bolt is, that's how many millimetres of thread need to be tapped to be "safe". I. E. M8 needs 8mm thick material 👍

It’s safer than using cable ties and wood to hold the seat in... but a captive nut... or send it straight through the box section with bolt and nut will do fine
