hey Jimmy, with the ITBs if the manifold has individual vacuum ports run them to a vacuum block and run the booster off that. the bonus of using a vacuum block is that you can also run a intake MAP sensor off the vacuum block for full VE tuning instead of just TPS. also think about adding an exhaust MAP sensor to help with VE tuning. ive done the above (vac block, Intake and exhaust MAP) on my angery 4age 16v in my AE86, and it made tuning and data logging so much more useful.

Use a tapping oil on the threads after cutting but before taking the bolt off. It will pull any trace metal debris from the lower grooves of the threads. Machinist tip.

Exhaust Studs are mostly to save your head in the event of a stripped bolt. So instead of stripping your (Most likely aluminum) head and having to do a helicoil or replace the head entirely, you just have to replace the stud. My 2 cents.. While a stud may be stronger, in this specific application for the exhaust manifold, its just to save your head.

A tri-Y equal length header would not look as cool but would have less bends, which would result in less restriction. A single throttle manifold with properly sized plenum would not look as cool as ITBs, but could also make more power especially that it is easier to implement cold air intake setup on them.

Jim you have to ditch those worm clamps and go -16/-20AN for the coolant line now because you DEFINITELY dont want one of those rubber hose connections bursting and all that coolant being sucked in to those big ass throttle bodys and hydro locking the motor with coolant we dont want to be mid pull have a hose pop and all that coolant get sucked straight into the motor

Hell Yeah Brother! From the second I saw that gangster exhaustmanifold, I started like praying that you actualy got ITB's and you are in fact rocking ITB's! First startup will be insane! If you are an old skool petrolhead like I am, the sound will be like an emotional experience. I just watched the New Gymkana with the Hoonitron, it looks right, but doesn't sound right. Best part of ITB's on a Honda is the VTEC switch over sounds insane almost like your spraying a small 50 shot on a sr20. Because ITB's make that switch very loud over turbo VTEC sounds an you can feel the difference in power on a na ITB setup way better than just about any other setup (turbo supercharger etc). Honda ITB setup sound like no other ITB setup due to VTEC obviously but they also have insanely good intake sounds with the engine deep grunt from inhaleing all the air it can just make for an insane combo with ITB's a proper exhaust an then the VTEC switch over is the cherry on top because they sound amazing even without a good VTEC switch over. Just make sure you add the extra fueling right at VTEC to give it the proper sound and power increase, alot of tunners set the switch over at a bad rpm number that doesn't optimize the VTEC benefit and hurts the power numbers also can make it run more sluggish that a properly setup switch over rpm with proper fuel scaling from that time switch over happens from the small cam lobes to the larger VTEC cam lobes, all the extra air dumping in within milliseconds an improper fuel setup can cause a lean bump that's so drastic it burns stuff up in no time an can cause damage to the cam and valves in no time. I can't wait to see this thing run man.

Honestly, Jim. To begin with, i was kinda' "Meh..." about the K-series swap. I'd much rather you put a Beams in it. But after seeing the exhaust manifold, and now those GANGSTER ITB's... Almost makes me wanna swap my 4AGZE for a K20 lol. Can't wait to hear how it sounds! Also. Please don't put a loud exhaust on the car. The ITB's will make the most glorious noise! Pretty sure you can install a stand alone vacuum source by using a canister and vacuum pump. So technically doesn’t have to be ran off the throttle bodies.
