The 'we were all friends' is also about the fact that these countries were trading partners the summer before.

Just wanted to say: Sabaton never takes sides. They merely tell stories that should not be forgotten -- like No Bullets Fly or the Night Witches.

They were French,British, and German soldiers. All three sides stopped the fighting. The truce happened in December of 1914 and lasted for two days. When it was over they refused to start fighting once more. Some were sent elsewhere to last out the war. Others were shot for refusing to do as they were told. They wanted no more fighting.

Hard to watch, almost as much as "1916". Please watch🛩 "SABATON - No Bullets Fly (Animated Story Video)"🛩 until the very end. You will witness the impact their songs have if you watch the "animated" version with words! 🫂Thank you for supporting Sabaton and your honest reaction Floor Jansen (Nightwish) doing end credits song.☯☮

Excellent reaction. Sabaton has the ability to reach into your soul and make you feel happy, sad, proud, and ashamed all at the same time. By never taking sides and simply telling the true tales of sacrifice, duty, honor, and comradery among warriors they showcase the humanity that exists even in the brutal cauldron of war. The cross at the end is a representation of the actual memorial cross located outside Ploegsteert Wood in Belgium, the site of one of the areas that participated in the truce.

One of my favorites from Sabaton's latest album and Floor's outro is sugar on top. The guitarist that plays the solo in this song, Tommy Johansson, is an incredible singer himself and really worth checking out. He has another band Majestica, where he is the singer and songwriter and also his own KZbin channel where he releases incredible covers each Friday. I recommend his cover She's Gone and Majestica song Above The Sky for start. Great reaction, hope for more Sabaton too

I love your reaction: "We're not killing each other on Christmas." Everyone was sure the war, begun in August 1914, would be over by Christmas, and that's what should have happened. The band Majestica, with Tommy Johansson, also did A Christmas Carol. Dickens wrote that the reformed Scrooge kept Christmas in his heart all year long. And that's what people should do: No fighting, and keep peace on earth, goodwill towards all, all year long. People have to keep the warmongers in their countries in check. Thomas Paine in his 1776 pamphlet Common Sense, wrote: "In the early ages of the world, according to the scripture chronology there were no kings; the consequence of which was, there were no wars; it is the pride of kings which throws mankind into confusion." The best way to honor the 1914 Christmas Truce is to keep it all the time.

Not 100% sure but ive read that almost all of them were killed by each other the next day. Only a few survived. I do know that this is the reason generals world wide put a stop to any type truce like this during combat.
