That bokeh background in the close-up shots makes for such a cozy holiday vibe. The little details like that really set your channel apart.

Ahh, that feeling you get when you have already have all the ingredients to make a new tiki cocktail 🎄 I love amaro and jump at any tropical recipe that calls for it. Happy Holidays, Derek!

Just recently stumbled into this channel. The host has some serious chops, from his drink creation skills, to presentation, dictation of history and information, and his selection of ingredients for beverages; especially in comparison to so many of the other more, “popular,” channels with more subscribers. He shows far more skill than these “New Media,” video/graphic design major types that (Babish style) fell into the cocktail scene. I’d love to see a video of some of his original creations!

Great drink! I made it first in 2020 and batched up some of the “Humbug Spices.” Brian has a few other cocktails that use it. I like the mixture enough that I’ve used it in a few of my own. Good stuff and quite possibly what started me going down the road of exploring these “new-to-tiki” ingredients in my own recipes. Cool to see it featured here! Brian is an incredibly prolific recipe creator and outrageously generous with the rest of us in that he shared a brand new recipe for each of the first 100 days of the pandemic. Ridiculously cool of him!

Living in Utah has made tracking down a lot of the stuff I see in these videos difficult to find since you can only buy liquor from either local distillers or the state-run liquor store. Still haven't gotten a hold of a Demerara, and I had to make my own allspice dram, but yesterday I was able to get a rhum agricole and a cachaca, so small victories!

Oh Averna, the amaro I lookThe Bottle Barn and ask is today the day I pick you, probably not. Though I do have Cynar 70, Amaro Nonino, and a homemade Nocino that was made with Wray & Nephew Overproofed. Maybe if I do a 1:2:1 ratio they can create some hybrid amaro.

Your videos are incredible. Impeccable vibes and production value. Keep up the amazing work man! I look forward to every new video. One question, if you happen to see it, for people who have medications that interact with grapefruit juice, what would you recommend as a good alternative?
