Wow I really like how these look on the house! I wonder if the module could be flashed with Tasmota. If you wanted to get even crazier, I bet you could chop off the module and just directly wire up an ESP8266 with WLED flashed on it. But even by themselves as they come it’s really cool, just hate Tuya’s limitations in home assistant lol

Need Help, I have the same lights and I cant seem to save the color scheme that I setup on the first page of the app. I setup the six light all different color with the timer set to go on and off daily. The next night when they turn on the go back to the previous color. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

I am not sure. I usually set the color and then have home assistant control the lights on and off and the color stays the same until I change it in the app. It could be the timer is causing the issue.

My first thoughts after he mentioned Tuya. Can we flash Tasmota? Probably not because of that new chip. Can we cut the box off and attach a WLED controller? That may work.

​@@SlackerLabs it's more likely to be a beken based chip not esp8266 these days checkout the openbeken firmware, have several bulbs and switches flashed with it. have a vid showing the process

How can I operate these locally via Tuya and HA? You mentioned it in the video, so I'd appreciate at least being pointing in the right direction. Thanks for the vid. These look amazing!

Local Tuya integration is probably the best. I haven’t tried it yet, but it works with the other Lumary lights I have so I expect it will. I’ll try it out and let you know. You would still have to do the initial setup but then with local tuya integration control would be completely local. You could block them from the internet and they would still work.

@@SlackerLabs Have you been able to get these to work with local tuya? I have not found any magic settings that will work with these. They seem to setup but cannot toggle them on and off

@@SlackerLabs Any luck figuring out how to get the built-in scenes in HA. It's pretty interesting that the TuyaSmart app seems to provide the exact same UI controls as the Lumary app. I'd really like to be able to manage the built-in scenes from HA. I'm installing the US-SD6E-1 in our addition for the main lighting.
