Great teamwork. After listened to the original, although it was a live version. I think I prefer your version, for one reason, the lyrics shine much better. The original was for a different time and audience. So little reason to feel shy about doing covers. Besides, you reach people who might not even know the original, like me. The voice is in instrument, different voices express different flavors and meanings. A cover can easily express something that the originators would not be able to transmit even if they wanted.
