But here is a complete build of an awesome Modern Main Battle Tank in Sprocket. Its got a huge cannon on it and a whole load of armour to defend itself. I hope you enjoy the video!

It is indeed cool, though a note on a lot of modern MBTs for future MBT designs: A lot of MBTs do have massive turrets nowadays, and most western MBTs store all of their ammo in the turrets. They're also equipped with blowout panels that cause the ammunition to explode outwards instead of destroying the tank if they're hit, but those aren't simulated in this game, so putting a simple square panel on the turret where the ammo is is fine enough. The "ballistic plates" are actually explosive reactive armor on most modern MBTs. They're usually put pretty much everywhere, so a suggestion would be, when detailing, to put down the ERA first, then do all of the other stuff like lights, baskets, etc. It might pay to put the gun a bit lower down on the turret to give more space for depression! Also don't forget to balance the gun correctly when making it, this can be done easily by tweaking the barrel thickness. And one last thing, coaxial machine guns! MBTs have coaxial machine guns mounted on the turret, and in fact those tend to see more use than the main gun itself!

This is honestly a dope looking MBT. Would be cool if you tried something like a stabilizer. All you really need to do is make a lil gap in front of the tank, add another turret, then shape it from there. It can be kind of difficult cause of its positioning. But overtime, it'll be easy to make on the spot.

13:05 yes there is. Select the panel by clicking right click and when it shows you the axis you hold Alt and while holding you click left mouse button on the axis in which direction you want to copy the panel and by dragging your cursor over the axis it copys your panel.

it looks cool, but i think its a bit big and it could weigh around 50-60 tons if you tried to put less armour (not front) and using more angle since the new guns have like 380mm pen (AP)

Okay, now we complain. First the gun: way too much caliber. 152 mm is artillery size, thus slow rate of fire and small storage. Even 130 mm would be pushing it. Also, the cannon length is way too short. Try to double that. Ammo is also not stored in separate bin at the turret back. Next the front glacis. Althogh it has like 60-70 degree angle, for modern munitions that might as well be flat. Try to go for 80 degree like in Abrahms. No spaced armor. This means any explosive shock will transfer directly inside the tank. No slat armor, thus any RPG will strike directly onto the armor. No optics, commander cupola or laser ranger. The commander sticking his head out would be rather bad, especially if the enemy had salted the area with nuclear or chemical munitions.

The gun size is fine. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXmYkox_erR6brs Slat armor takes forever to make in the game. Original cold war mbts did not have spaced armor. The angling of the front plate doesn't really matter as non steel core APFSDS projectiles can penetrate armor at even 84° angle. Also, there are no blowout panels in the game yet

He’s correct, and theres more, it lacks a stabilizer, which you can make in sprocket, its absurdly huge and has space unused, it weighs so much rural bridges will collapse under its weight, and it can be penned frontally by any real MBT.

You've built a huge tank that would have sucked even in the WWII Why? You didn't penetrate IS-122 late at the frontal armour You've placed a driver's hatch right on armour (on the modern MBT hatch placed on top of the hull, right under the tower) that causes lower millimetres of armour compared to the armor in the forehead of the hull as a nominal armour. Simply, the armor of the hull itself is much more nominally than next to the hatch (sorry if you may misunderstood, English is not my mother tongue) So that's why , it makes your tank even worse and brings back to the WWII time prototypes The speed is average , a bit higher , caliber good , but the armour is useless and I'm not sure if it's possible to reload 152 mm gun less than a 4 second only having 4 crew members!!! Aiming is too slow for modern MBT and speed of turning as well (turning hull and tower) Stab is average , but not enough for modern those times 100+ tons way to big. Idk, looks like super project in Reich ngl.

You can't increase the turret slew rate and gun traverse speed without cheating as game hardcaps it. The game doesn't support gun stabilizers yet. The Abrams has a similar drivers hatch position.
