That’s what I’m doing. Check out Xedit or FOedit in the case of using Fallout 4. There’s a lot of tutorial (enough) to get you going. It’s not that bad doing minor stuff, and it gets easier the more you play around with it

Baka Scrapheap's main benefit in increasing the script data limit, is once that data limit is surpassed, your game will no longer load and will crash. This was a long-standing engine-level issue, discovered by Kinggath on accident, most likely the source of so many Sim Settlements bug reports that couldn't be figured out or reproduced. The vanilla game scripts will never ever come anywhere close to hitting that limit, and that limit likely exists simply because Bethesda never foresaw a situation where it wasn't more than enough. Obviously mods broke that boundary, and the community had to fix it lol.

My only problem with the forest or grass overhaul mods is it doesn't change how the AI see you. All the sudden you'll get stitched up through some trees from a few hundred meters off and have no idea where they are at.

they cant see thru trees but tall grass yes. If you travel with a companion, your companion will usually alert you to someone nearby before you spot them. There is also mods that will reduce npcs accuracy and ones that force them to use ammo, so they will run out of ammo after a few shots if raiders and run at you with melee.

A forest is one of the best overhauls I have used personally especially with NAC X and Reactor ENB. I downloaded the three while messing around one day just kind of randomly and let me tell you. You will feel like your playing a whole different game. The trees really help make the world of fallout 4 feel brand new again. You'll find yourself not having any idea where your at but then will see something familiar and be like wait I am here I thought I was there when did I end up in this direction. It makes exploring amazing especially in a game where you literally have played so many times you know where everything is at already. Some other mods I like to use with these are tales from the commonwealth, atomic radio, South of the sea - Atoms Storm, and Vivid Waters. With these mods it will feel like a completely new game and you can build upon this by adding other mods. Like weapons, armor, animations, etc. Its great. But honestly just a forest alone makes the commonwealth feel like a completely new place and allows exploring to be fun again. Also don't forget to add some mods like mutant menagerie oh and Nuka world looks sick as well.

@@Vthe_botV Both FO4NV AND Fallout: Miami might be done near the end of this year, (more than likely only Miami, because NV in this game's engine takes A TON of scripting, editing, and implemening the NV skills while throwing the vanilla FO4 ones out.) Not to mention remaking the NV world from scratch, and re-recording ALL the original voice-lines, because Bethesda sucks and copyright is a b****. Im sure once the FO4NV mod is out there will be other brave souls who will replace the fan-made lines with the OG voice-actors. Can't wait for both :D

That "A Forest" mod looks nice. But the foliage would prevent me from using my Instigating AX50 to blow a Legendary Plutonium Deathclaw's legs off from a literral mile away. Think I'll just keep my NAC-X, tall grass and Worsin NVG based optical implant. Might be dark, but it'll never be too dark for my heavily cybernetically enhanced, spud-gun welding Mercenary. Addition: In case anyone wonders, the spud-gun is exactly what it sounds like. It's a fatman that slings giant, supercharged potatoes. I replaced the mini-nuke's whistle with Terry Crews's 'power' from the Old Spice commercials.

Trust me man, I feel you 100%. But after a long time of wanting a PC I finally sat down and did some research for a good few days. It’s truly *not* as complicated as people make it seem. I will admit that if you are building the PC yourself, it’s gonna be a little complicated selecting all of the parts. (That’s where most of the research is needed) But i do recommend building it yourself since most pre-builds are way overpriced or just built sloppily. Sorry for the long message but I just wanted to say, if you have the money and the time for a good PC setup; go for it! You will *not* regret it.

Another Fallout KZbinr said recently Bethesda won't be doing a Fallout 5 single player game. Probably true, but with the the skill in the mod community and the near DLC-sized mods so far produced, it is pretty clear the FO4 engine could be used to by them to produce an entirely new FO5 game. If they had a good design team and quest team to keep things on track and cohesively extending the history and lore of Fallout it could be done in 2 or 3 years. Maybe 5. If we wait on Bethesda, even if they decide to do it, it would be 10-12 years, at best. One problem with Universal Working Bathroom Fixtures, you have to uninstall all your city/settlement mods, like those that "fix" Santuary, and other large settlements. Because with those installed, UWBF places bathroom fixtures in the middle of roads, or outside of houses, because it assumes pure vanilla cells. Baka ScrapHeap is necessary and always in my 435+ mod load order.

NAC X also looks good with Fallout 4 VR. Some of the effects dont work right though. The vignette seems to be attached in front of the camera. If you use the pipboy and look around, you can see it hanging in front of what ever direction you were looking when you looked at the pipboy. Odd... but other than that. The weathers look great. Except firestorm or whatever. Its just ... scary in VR. O.O

juicehead can you recommend a mod manager I'm gonna mod my fallout new vegas and i'm new to modding so a tutorial would help a ton lol

Nexus mod manager is pretty straightforward. I'm still relatively new to modding as well and it's easy to use. Still not 100% confident with manually installing mods as of yet

Nexus Mod Manager is no longer supported. I understand that Vortex is very good though I have no experience with it. Mod Organizer 2 is what I have used and it is great. I would recommend searching KZbin for tutorials on both managers and decide which one you like best. For example Gopher has tutorials on Vortex and Mod Organizer, in fact his Vortex FONV tutorial has a nice mod list to get you started.
