Seeing as the more sensitive people are us Americans, whom complain far more than the rest of the world about inane things, I can see why they go with the old timey human centric freedom units, instead of the cold inhuman commie metric system(joke). That aside the video could include the units in both systems as text on the screen, easy edit, but I bet this content is AI generated.

@@stratometal Personally, I don't care about majority of units used except for pressures (WTF is a kpa?) and temperature. Volume in litres is OK as it is very easy to swap back to imperial or US gallons (and what's up with cubic inches in America? that has never made sense?) Centigrade scale is way too limiting only going from 'ice' at zero to boiling water at one hundred. It's completely logical but tenths or hundredths of a degree is very inconvenient I didn't like it in 1970's and don't like it today. In my experience (after living in America 26 years) Americans are not very sensitive but are mostly belligerent and money grabbing while pretending to be 'god fearing' it's why crime is so prevalent at all levels of society (particularly in politics)

Blimps are great for transporting huge loads (in tons, not pounds), except for one problem: when they deliver the payload you have to attach something equally heavy to the blimp, or it will shoot off into the stratosphere, so to speak. This is a really big problem that caused several manifacturers to abandon the idea alltogether. Flying cars are a bad idea. They can't be good cars and good planes at the same time and even if they could, the world is not ready for such a huge energy consumption for every driver/pilot.
@seanmalloy72493 ай бұрын
The alternative to adding more ballast when you offload cargo is to pump down the lift gas into storage tanks, which doesn't require loading and unloading ballast as the vessel's load changes. Alternatively, you can have pressure cells that are inflated to compress the lift gas cells, making their contents denser and reducing their lift capacity.

A sensation, on the first glance a stroke of genius (avoids the ordeal of transporting oversized objects on the road) It got lots of attention and of governmental support. They built a giant hangar to be even able to build and house the 300-meter long airship. And suprise, surprise, when the hangar was built, the whole project was cancelled - and the hangar was redesignated into a tropical leisure park. Almost as if the whole was planned from the start to get the allowance and support for this park...

Maybe that should be 132 Tons per flight, or more likely 132,000lbs, which would be 66 Tons. With a blimp that size that number is within reason. Good idea, I don't know why their use has diminished to virtually zero considering their utility. I used to see the old GoodYear blimps cruising overhead where I grew up regularly, usually during festivals and near the local international airport. They had the old style scrolling display along the side panel. Probably regulated out of business. People became afraid of Hydrogen for this purpose after the Hindenburg disaster, but word has it now that it may have been sabotage. The buoyancy of H2 is significantly more than Helium, and we have no problem containing the extremely small molecules with modern polymer materials.
