@@houseofmods I had an original white metro turbo in the early 90's. Nowhere near the power of this obviously. Mine hit about 105BHP on a good day with the engine done. It was insanely fun. This is an absolute riot. Good stuff.

Back in the day I had a metro GTi 1.4 16v, it had 105bhp standard and was pretty quick, I think 0-60 about 8.5 seconds not bad for 1992. I got a motobuild racing exhaust a K&n 57i and motobuild remap lol, I think that got power up to about 120 hp I don't know if that's the correct figure but it made it a lot quicker not bad for a 23 year old at the time.

@@jjcvk all depends on the tuning company really, as kieran said marketing also. With some companies they'll say stage 3 and it's putting out 350ish bhp and others like revo say stage 2 for around 350ish bhp. From what I've gathered revo stage 3 is up to 440bhp

It seems many of the car channels I used to watch a lot have become repetitive and stale. I've noticed quite a few channels that start to make some good money, then after that their content is mostly their own car 😴😴 forget the fans 🙄. Jamie still seems to care what his fans enjoy and reacts to that. It's that attitude that deserves success and support. Wears a seatbelt too, lead by example 👍

mate found this by accident and it takes me back to my apprenticeship at rover..the apprentice centre in longbridge when these gti metros first came out and we could get them on the scheme and we tried modding then in the centre...now people buy a fast car , put some alloys on and think thats modded..this video is ace!!

With a pg box and a limited slip diff you'll be surprised how well you can get one to hook up off the line. Love a nice clean little metro turbo build. Rovers need more representation in the modding scene. Don't see so many about. I've got a Rover 400 with a 1.8 solid cam engine in it. Cheap but buckets of fun and lots of tuning parts available. Good video.

dan hug hes my mum had an mg turbo , d reg in white. We watched one night as thieves broke into and stole it( whilst explaining this to the police on the phone) around 11.30pm. The fuzz turned up at 7am the next day🤷♂️🤷♂️. The car was found burnt out 3/4 of a mile away from our house around the same time. This was 97 so it was only 10 year old with 32,000 on the clock☹️

Brings me back to around 11-12 years ago, essex car scene you'd see quite a few mental metros. Would love to see a nissan pulsar on here as well, dont see them at all anymore. Was plenty pushing 500bhp back in the day.

Awesome vid. Makes me remember my vauxhal (opel) corsa b with a c20let engine. It made about 340 hp on a 1000 kilos (+/- 2100 lbs). I totaled it on the Zolder circuit in Belgium. As for this metro, I seriously recommend a roll cage, and some decent brakes. Without a rollcage in my corsa I would probably not have been here typing this message, just saying. Anyways, enjoy!
