Now this car is rare. Really rare! Let me break this down really quick... Ever heard of the rare 100 GTUs rx7s? Only 40 have ever been claimed and only 7 are confirmed at the time of this posting! Here are the rarest rx7 FC3S models: 1500 10AE Turbo models 1400 infini 1000 winning limited 150 final edition convertible 100 GTUs... out of that 100: 83 red on black 10 black on black 7 white on blue There was only 100 GTUs models created between 1989 and 1991. If you own one of these rare models sign your car up to the registry list here on any of the rotary forums! There are rumors about a restamped GTUs model... The entire origins GTUs owners thread on the rx7club was modified, icemarks claims deleted, registry list changed to have a confirmed section and the mods agree there are not enough GTUs models to have the restamped. Icemark cites himself while making up the claims almost 20 years ago. 😆 There are no restamped GTUs models, only GTU. Stop spreading false information. There are only 100 GTUs models made, only 40ish have been claimed to have been found, only 7 have been confirmed! www.rx7club.com/2nd-gen-general-discussion-323/very-rare-detail-fc-1129229/ If you have a real GTUs you can register it here! www.mazdaforum.com/forum/mazda-rx-7-33/official-mazda-rx7-gtus-owners-club-thread-44477/

It's like that old school joke about the Skoda breaking down. A Ferrari stops to see if the driver needs help. They both decide it needs towing to a garage. The Ferrari driver says "I'll give you a Tow to garage, but if I'm going to fast then peep your horn and I'll slow down. So the Ferrari is towing the Skoda down the motorway when all of a sudden a Porsche speeds by. Without any hesitation the Ferrari floors it to catch up the Porsche. As the Ferrari and Porsche are racing they speed past a police check point. The two traffic police are stunned and Radio in headquarters. "You'll never believe what we have just seen?!?... A Ferrari was chasing a Porsche but get this... A Skoda was blasting its horn to get past!!!"

Škoda cars were very popular in Yugoslavia since 1000MB model in mid-sixties. In 1973. almost 30.000 Škodas were sold. In order to protect new Zastava 101 car (based od Fiat 128) the import of Škoda was limited on 7000 since 1974. All of them were sold in two days even they had to be paid in cash. So it was not easy to my brother to buy his green 110R in 1975. The motor was 1107ccm and delivering 52HP, basicly tuned Škoda 110 motor (44HP), in fact derived from Škoda 1000MB motor which was very simmilar to Reno 8 engine. Because of this "alterations" there were very much problem with motor cooling, having original cooling system so the temperature when 90km/h was normal on 95degC. The other problem was with motor running well only above 2500 RPM. The car was low and rear drive was providing very fun driving on curves and very good handling when above 120km/h. Max. speed was about 145 km/h. The carburator was dual, second stage opening at app. 100km/h, giving extra- power, so above 100km/h the car was faster then Fiat 128 with 55HP. The interrior design and materials were above Škoda standards.The lights were very good. All parts were easy accesible, the car was extremly designed for easy maintenace and parts were very cheap. My brother replaced original motor with 120LS Škoda motor (58HP), adding additional cooler in front and additional motor oil cooler, with Yapanese electronics motor run well from 1200RPM, and it was very fun to drive this car, paint ih Ferrari red color.. I was also driving Škoda, first 120L (1977.) model, to Year 2000. But the time when we could afford new cars are gone here, in Serbia. Best regards to all Škoda drivers.

Please do a very detailed presentation of the Skoda! Inside out, below, everything. One of the best mods in all internet! It is only the intake that should have a central butterfly on the top of the plenum.

Thank you. Not much space left around engine. I know there could be better manifold but these rear engined cars have an issue with geting enough cool air from outside and I didn't want any scoop. Just wanted to keep it clean from outside ;)

@@110eidyR just lower it some more and move the intake to under car for ground effect🤓👍 No but seriously that is a great car and that was some nice driving. I like how you stayed behind the cars that may have been able to keep up or re-pass you. Very polite. You're obviously a very good driver. Thanks for taking us on a this nice lap.

Also, how does it handle - does it feel as tail happy as a typical 90s Estelle, or have the suspension mods tamed it somewhat. Moar details!
@110eidyR4 жыл бұрын
@@joby602 It is tail happy. Actually if you drive normaly or spirited, she is quite neutral. If you want or if you push close to limit, she is tail happy but nothing critical. She used to be much more oversteer before restoration and all improvements.

@@110eidyR Thanks for the reply! Me and a buddy spent most of our teenage years going sideways in an Estelle. Several floated valves! This would have been our dream car, especially with the Alfa engine!

Wooooooow! That lap was hella impressive, as is the flipping ride. It is beautiful man, it really is. Love all the attention to detail, that there is real love between man and motor. I like it that you chose that coupe looking version, us old enough will know that, that was the slightly sportier model, if I am not mistaken... Always good to see theses old girls or boys done up/revived, but with class you put into it, we'll done my bruda. Very inpressive. I LIKE

Would be great to see a return to the ring video with the extra 1000rpm. I sensed a driver who treasured the car far too much to really push it. Plenty held in reserve for that very reason and justifiably so. Respect for the quality of workmanship & dedication. A cool car!

once they won the etcc in their class as the first placed team was disqualified for fuel issues. ......it was funny as the racing marshal? where always searching for the fifth gear in the gear box. jerking the gear stick all around the place till they almost broke it.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING Car & Build, the quality of the finish is spot on 🙂 👌🏻 And the Guy drives it like it should be driven, and does a great job of doing so too 🙂👍🏻 The intake sounds from the throttle bodies and the filter being inside take me back to my younger days of Ford Escorts & Capri's on twin 45 Webber carbs 😊 heavily sounds 😍 Please do more like these kind of vids if they are ever possible Misha, looking at the cars build as well as the great in-car, & outside footage 🙂👌🏻 Keep up fantastic work bud, All the best from us over here in the UK 🇬🇧 Stay Safe out there, Mark 👍🏻

It doesn't have throttle bodies, just a single big throttle body. But Alfa Twinsparks do sound different from normal 4 cilinders

@@271production You're spot on, but it was the easiest way to describe the throttle body/plenum chamber like the Jenvey type 🙂👍🏻 The Alfa twinspark engine's have always sounded fantastic with a few tweaks, it's an engine we regularly used to switch into Escorts and Kit cars 🙂👍🏻

When I was in a gas station in the former East Germany around 2003. As the gas stations sell premix at the pump there were a couple of Trvants from when the Soviet Union managed East Germany. Being 2 cycle they ran tuned expansion chambers and had some port work done. My husband was thrilled about the the tuners and they explained the whole tuner culture in Germany. Really nice going round the Ring in the Skøda, excellent driver, never got scared once !

Czechoslovak Porsche edit: also I've noticed that he does heel'n toe quite differently than most people do, braking with his heel rather than toe, interesting.
@tocsa120ls4 жыл бұрын
rear-engine Skoda pedal positions are 'interesting'. The throttle is floor hinged and it is markedly deeper than the brake pedal, plus he has tread plates on the pedals.

@@tocsa120ls yeah that makes sense, I drove old Skoda 120 some time ago but I didn't dare trying heel'n toes as it wasn't my car.

yeah pedals in quite many cars just aren’t leveled for heel-toeing not to say about the brake pedal calibration, feel and range of motion so you literally need to TOE N’ HEEL

I noticed that too and wondered if others had. The way he heel-toe downshifts is really interesting. It honestly looks really uncomfortable hahaha. I wonder if it's something with the car that makes him do it that way, or if it's just the way he learned. Either way, really interesting!
