A lot of people are saying how a musician would much rather their actual instrument, but the product isnt for them, it's for those who are just trying to be able to play any instrument they want with a more realistic and physical feel than an app for a single instrument, and this would not have to make them spend hundreds per instrument

@myname9130
@myname9130 2 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's meant for traditional musicians, seems like it's meant for a particular group of people who make music using synths but want a little more tactile feedback while doing so. It's a niche product for sure, but niche products can make big money if they capture their market.
@mr.hedgehog420
@mr.hedgehog420 2 жыл бұрын
but then again you use an electric keyboard which is not the 'real' instrument itself. What's the difference? It's digitalized/synthesized sound played through an amplifier... not any 'real' sound.
@DustinMercer
@DustinMercer 2 жыл бұрын
@@mr.hedgehog420 what I'm saying is, the keyboard seems to only use very few notes, in a very awkward fashion, making it very difficult to compose melodies. If you're not a composer, maybe it's hard to understand. But melodies requires a broad spectrum of notes that are easily accessible. This is good for a few notes, a few effects.

Everyone who is a musician is talking about how the real instruments are better. Yes, that is true, but as far as I can tell, musicians are not Josua Young's target market. It's composers of synthetic music, not actual musicians(Not to say synthetic composers are worse). Although that's just my opinion.

I would disagree, there is huge control of the sound within the program. And there is huge control on a instrument. This thing is just button mashing, it's a toy, show bizz. @@2ndPortal Go watch the ad on the AUUG homepage. I think it's got a little more potential than what you're describing. I don't know that it beats out a normal synth -- I doubt it -- but it doesn't seem "fake". Probably more time and effort to learn than it's worth, but it's definitely got some decent potential if you felt like investing the time
