Bought the T150 5-PW. Best clubs I’ve ever hit. Most forgiving I’ve ever played as well. Titleist for the win!!!

Two iron brands that don’t get the love are Wilson and Srixon - both make absolutely beautiful player irons
@TLRChad Жыл бұрын
Having owned the Staff CBs and now playing the ZX7s I totally agree with you. Two brands that are criminally under rated.
@willadair617810 ай бұрын
I don’t think Srixon are underrated anymore. TXG (now Club champion Canada) and Cool clubs have both mentioned how Srixon are some of their biggest selling irons. Srixon deserves all the success they’re achieving

I got fit for the T150 and ZX5, i walked out with the ZX5 mk2 just felt and performed considerably better for me.

Got fitted for the ZX5s with Modus 105, played for a season, but found the stronger lofts didn't generate enough spin to hold firmer greens. Switched to the ZX7 mk2, and what a difference. They spin about 5-600 more spin on a 7 iron for me, which made all the difference. Lost about 3 yards of carry with the 2 degree weaker loft, which I was surprised was so low. Slightly less forgiving, but will make you a better ball striker. Compare the ZX5s to the T100s which I was also fitted into (had a choice between the two) the Srixons were night and day more forgiving and felt slightly better on centered strikes for me. Don't regret my purchase one bit.

I game the zx7 mk2 with modus tour 120s, absolutely amazing. Best irons I've played ever. Previous irons (Mizuno Mp18 MMC, Taylormade P770 and Titleist T-100 in that order). Mizunos were close to zx7, but the other 2 don't even come close to the srixons. Highly recommended 👌🏽

What makes them better for you? I hit the ZX7s yesterday along with the TM P7MCs and found the ZX7s better. Have you tried the T150s?

Srixon zx7 are an amazing iron at a much more affordable price. Especially in NZ. Love the looks and performance.

I love my Srixon zx7 mk2 irons. I went to my local driving range and picked one up, and it was unbelievable! I was playing PXG gen4 and made the switch! They are the best irons I've ever played. Give them a try and see how nice they perform!!

I have had a srixon combo set for a while now, and I love them. 7-P Z965 4-6 Z765. Great clubs

I've just bought the z965 to make a combo set (found an almost new full set for £180. Are you finding the 7-iron is fine? And the z765 not too chunky?
@Sam.198110 ай бұрын
@stuboy13 the 7 iron is fine. It's not hard to hit at all. The 765's are not super chunky. Just enough extra forgiveness with the longer irons. I enjoy them.

I’ve just last week been fit for the T150’s and came down to them or the ZX7’s. I’ve been using Srixon Z785’s for the last couple years and loved them!

I think both of these irons are amazing and can’t go wrong with either one. Both are designed well for combos which I love. I currently play the Srixons because they are a better value. Great comparison!

Hit both. I found the ZX7 as a noticeably better-feeling iron. It's hard to explain, but I find Titleist forgings to have a dull feel vs a soft feel. To me, the ZX7 felt more responsive than the T-150. According to their websites, ZX7 is forged from 1020 carbon steel, one of the softest metals used in irons. Titleist doesn't mention the type of steel used in the T series, but many of their previous forgings used 1025 carbon steel. For reference 1020 is softer than 1025. (Callaway uses 1025 in their Apex line; Mizuno uses 1025E) ZX7 are forged at Endo, a forging house renowned for its forging process (similar to Mizuno's GF forging process). Titleist irons run through a typical forging process. That's where I feel the differences come from. That being said, both are great irons; both will perform similarly. The Titleist irons do have a slimmer topline, so if that's the most important aspect for you then you'll like the T-150 better.

Forgot to mention forgiveness... For me, the T-150s were more forgiving. I believe the T-150 deploys more tungsten in the heads vs the ZX7.

I like my zx4 mk2 4 iron. I really like my zx5 6 iron. Just ordered my zx7 8i. That will tell me how to go with my 7 iron. 5 iron will be zx5. Probably going 7-A in zx7. They did indeed feel amazing during my tests.

Thank you Mike, that says alot to me, a little smoother coming off the 150, I'm gaming the last model of the TCBs, and I find them very smooth and soft, might be a half a category out of the players irons in my eyes, I believe pretty standard lofts in the TCBs, anyway I picked up the old model of the zx7 in the 7 iron and piching wedge just to try them myself and I thought they were outstanding, very soft forged feel but I thought the blade lenth was bigger then a usual players iron category, but very nice feel and distance for 32 degrees on the 7 iron loft, well as a club golfer I go for looks, feel, and sound is probably for myself the most important, idk getting older, might break out the pro 225s this year for extra distance, but I can't seem to get that same hight on my flight with the stronger lofted clubs, maybe not enough club head speed. idk, or wrong shafts steelfiber I95, idk just not the same feel ,sound and looks as the players category !! Great job Mike, Tietilist 100, 150 , 200 are beautiful this year great design by that company, !

I bought them. I don’t love them. Threw them in the closet. I had the 585/785 combo which I loved. Bought the zx7 irons. They got much bulkier than previous models. I Didn’t get the best turf interaction. So I switched back to the apex cf19 and waiting to buy a new set in the spring . I am a looking for the strong loft players irons with some forgiveness. T150, apex pro, Mizuno pro243, if they actually come out with a new p760. I struggle with bigger heads. Don’t feel like I can get the ball out of certain lies as easy. Feel is important. Not losing 15 yards on slight mishits is important.

The exact comparison that I am between. Interestingly enough, I've heard people say the Srixons feel less clunky than the T150's. Guess I'll have to hit them both lol

I have some Z-585’s, had about 4 years, tested clubs over the last 6 months but I’m really struggling to find a club that is noticeably better to buy new clubs. The 585s are so sweet out the middle yet very forgiving for off centre.

Great review! The video we’ve all been waiting for. Currently gaming z785’s. Love them. Typically I’ve been a Mizuno fan, but took a chance on the srixons and they have been fantastic! Now looking at the new zx7 or T150 or wait for the Mizuno 243. After watching this review, it is verifying what I’ve thought as well: top line is better on the t150. Feel is a bit better. Think I’ll be doing a combo set. T200 4 and 5. T150 6-P.

I just paid, $1,300 for the ZX7's with graphite/ reg flex 4-PW. It'll take a couple weeks to receive them. I'm hoping I've made the right decision. I tested several different makes and different models within each. Steel shafts and graphite. I'm 57 so the graphite was better for me. 8hdcp. Currently playing Callaway steelheads. Hoping for the best!
