Apart from the fact that these ladies are amazing and i love them, they're inspiring a 53 year old Englishman to learn Spanish! I’m not Spanish-speaking, but I’m learning the language, because of these ladies. And for me, I think it’s my favourite song of theirs too (tough call!!). It’s just got everything AND it’s even better live with the crowd joining in on the vocals at the end & Dany crying out & that epic guitar solo! Just an utter rock anthem! Narcisista obviously would interest you, as it’s their other Spanish song. And Eruca Sativa is a great Spanish rock band - they are great friends of (and inspiration for) The Warning.

First time I heard this song, I knew it was something special. Around the world, their fans sing this song with them in concerts, nullifying any language barriers because as they are prone to say, Music is the language. Filmed in the desert near Monterrey on a day when it was windy AF and 45 C (113F). Wasp attacks, grit everywhere, in their clothes, sandblasting their instruments. They erected a tent as a shelter for them but the wind shredded the fabric almost immediately creating another hazard during their performance as they had to dodge the flashing fabric. Although it is a cool visual effect, it was not easy to work around, especially for Pau. Also, they performed portions of the song at doubletime so that it could be slowed down in the final video for a special effect. AND they were out in the desert from early in the morning to late at night.

Martiro is my favorite song from this band even though I don't understand any Spanish. Great art transcends language barriers and cultural barriers every time and these young ladies are great artists. In the end of this song on her second solo Dany channels her inner David Gilmour and makes that guitar speak to you and that's a sign of a truly great guitarist even if it's not a long guitar solo.

They only have 2 songs they have written in Spanish, because it is much harder to convey the meaning from English to Spanish. Their Mom helps them with the phrasing and wording, pointing them how to go with it. Both Martirio and Narcisista are in my top 10 TW songs. I hope they have others in the new album! I'm a native english speaker born and raised in Texas, so I can get by with a little Spanglish, but no way fluent for this song. At their show i found myself singing my ass off in Spanish and crying my eyes out at the same time. I have been going to shows for 45 years of my life, and this band will emotionally wreck you live, and you will feel so at peace after their show. I can't explain it, it's beautiful.

Great reaction! The Warning is a fantastic band that brings hope to rockers all around. They are keeping it alive and fresh. If you want to check other bands in Spanish I highly recommend Soda Stereo, an Argentinian band from the '80s '90s. The singer (Gustavo Cerati) sadly passed away a few years ago. Anyway, that's another band that has only good songs. "Profugos" is a great song to start with, just to suggest one. By the way the other Warning song in Spanish is "Narcisista". Have a great day!

Another amazing reaction! While I definitely believe that this is your favorite of theirs, this band has an uncanny ability to make you say that with every new song you listen to. The saying "Your favorite TW song is the last one you listened to" is a very real thing that happens to almost all of us. I think it's pretty clear that your next reaction needs to be Narcisista, their other Spanish song. The Foro DiDi version was their first time playing the song to an audience, but the version at Teatro Metropolitan is very special in its own right. They are both excellent!

the covering over the building frame was not supposed to be shredded but the winds had other ideas so DPA/TW and the team decided not to fight it... it makes for a nice atmosphere and works pretty well for this OMV but i understand it was also hard to work with it flapping around and hitting them at times... this is not the first time they've had to deal with the winds, either... one or two of their other MVs that were shot outside were also on windy days... their Foo Fighters cover of *The Pretender* comes to mind... there were also comments about how the blowing sand stung and caused them to feel like they had a sunburn... they did a great and professional job, that's for sure 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

The video was shot in the Icamole Desert north of Monterrey, Mexico. DPA saqid they were covered in dust, and sand when they got home. They hadn’t considered that it might be windy. Somewhere is a video of a guy in hang glider who flew over the site and the fire circle was still there.

No one is going to get upset at you for saying that your latest reaction to The Warning is now your favorite song... it seems that everyone's favorite song is whichever song they play/heard last. For the first years of the band they only played music in English and after putting out an EP and 2 albums, they started to get some criticism in Mexico because they were a Mexican band that had no Spanish songs. That criticism was the spark for their first song Narcicista... I think you will enjoy it and it might even become your new favorite song!? I believe Nacicista played at Teatro Metropolitan might be the best version, but to fully appreciated the performance you should first see how they normally play it, their premier of Narcicista at Foro Didi in Monterrey might be good for the first part of a double reactions!?

If I recall correctly, they had been recording Error in New Jersey for some time and when they started working on this song, Pau told Dany that she was singing in Spanish with an English accent. So Dany put on a headset with only Spanish language and wandered around New Jersey speaking only Spanish for week. Then they recorded the song. Something like that….

Should definitely check out the debut performance in 2019 of Narcissista before doing the Teatro version. Their critics had been accusing the girls of being "cultural traitors," because they only wrote their lyrics in English. A then 17 year old Pau wrote the band's first song in Spanish in response, and in defense of herself and her sisters. Rather than wait to include the song on their next album, they recorded it immediately and released it as a stand-alone single. They debuted the song in their hometown and recorded the show. Pau delivers a stunning performance, singing with conviction, with her lyrics projected on a screen behind her to make sure that her message to those critics was clear. Pau is fearless, and the song and performance are a highwater mark for the band for me. That performance is on their channel, called Narcissista - Live at Foro Didi in Monterrey. It's well worth hearing the song twice. Both performances from Pau are killer, and for very different reasons.

Yep, mentioned it already I think. Martirio is my favourite and I don't understand a word of Spanish. Musically, I think it has a soaring quality to it, and in a behind the scenes video Pau mentions having to say a mantra "I must not cry" before playing this track as it can tip her over the edge - I think for most of the headlining shows in.the past year, this has been their finale piece with Evolve as the encore.

Such an incredibly beautiful song and video! Even though I don’t speak/understand Spanish it’s of little consequence. Of course I’ve read through the lyrics in English for context but they did an amazing job in expressing the sentiment of this song visually. The video itself has numerous anecdotes that are worth learning about in your journey of discovery that makes the result even more endearing. The live performances can be even more touching especially in front of a Spanish speaking audience due to the effect that it can visibly have on DPA onstage while performing.

Great reaction I can't wait for you to see them perform this live and hear the crowd respond to them it's epic and emotional. They are so inspiring and we none Spanish speaking fans love when they perform in their primary language. I hope they have at least one Spanish song on this album about to drop. For bands that rock in Spanish try Eruca Sativa. A 3- piece from Argentina, and good friends of The Warning. This band is better live than in their music videos because they add in extra solos for all band members. Try their somg Magoo live to see what I mean.
