Well said. You and I are the same on this one. KZbin Recommended 4+ years ago during a dark time in my life. One by one, I started watching his playthroughs and instantly my life was filled with countless hours of laughs and me commenting back to the TV with my thoughts/ideas on how to solve the level when Ryu was stumped (much like how children would yell back at Blue as to where the next Clue was) 😂

Nintendo removed all 3 of my uncleared MM1 levels back in 2021 when they shut down new uploads. It's a bit annoying seeing ones like that minigame level didn't get the same treatment.

Mmm, what about an expert run, and no more than 3 deaths are allowed ( the limited number of one ups you can gain in one level), so the challenge is to keep the hundred lives to the next level, and if you died once or twice, and couldn't gain one ups, you lose...

Hey Ryu, just wanted to say I found you at a really good point in my life, and you just fit right in. I'd come home from having an awesome day, and then watch your videos and get to keep the awesomeness going. And even though you were just another delicious food in the decadent feast that is my life, I still feel very grateful for having your videos to watch when I wasn't living all of the other amazing parts of my life. I had a few ideas for long form challenges: 1: A One Shot or Skip Expert (super expert?) challenge. It would be a slightly easier version of the seemingly impossible no death expert challenge, where if you did die, you would just have to skip the level as opposed to starting over. 2: Easy mode, Blindfolded, guided by Tammy/chat (I know sometimes tip comments are read aloud, maybe it could be done by that)/ or someone else. 3. Scavenger Hunt. The rules would have to be ironed out here, but something like, complete an expert run that involves cleared levels with a spring jump, a p switch door, a costume, pick a door, and cheese. You might find all of them in the first one, and then just need to beat the run, or you might need 2 more in the last level and have to skip till you find the right level that has what you are looking for.

I don't even play Super Mario Maker games but because I grew up playing Mario on NES these videos are always a treat that help with my depression and anxiety. It's strangely therapeutic to watch Ryu play Mario. He's got a great positive personality. I don't think I'd like watching anyone else play 😀🤘 I hope Ryu plays and streams until he's a little old man. 😁

Nintendo announced a long time ago that there would be no more updates for SMM2, other than occasional patches to fix glitches. Guess they're saving the good stuff for SMM3, assuming they even plan to make it!

I was looking online for any hints for smm3's release date but I couldn't find any trusted sources. Should I wait for smm3 or buy smm2? Is smm3's realse "expected" soon?
