I’m old enough that SMB and SMW came out when I was a kid and I played them to death but haven’t played since then until I finally got a Switch a couple of weeks ago and immediately got MM2 and trust me, it’s not even close to as easy as Ryu makes it look. His skills are truly incredible!

On his first attempt at the spiky helmet room when he lost it to the saw on the second to last row on the return trip, if he reentered the door, I believe he would have gotten another helmet before using the key door. Would have beat it on that attempt.

Think about how many simultaneous inputs it would be. Can anybody think of a level that has as many sound effects that run literally constantly like level 2(3? I’m writing this mid-level so idr) that ISN’T clearly made in bad faith expressly to be obnoxious and unfun? Cause as much as I see the point in have no filter on 100-mario, levels that are effectively just password-locked or purposefully long and obnoxiously packed with sound effects, seeing as those are fairly simple to scan for (do 80% of blocks in an enclosed space the player MUST traverse trigger their own sound effect, pull from level data and upload verification replay), should and certainly COULD be filtered out, so why not? They only make it less fun and give it a reputation for being RNG as far as I can tell
