I'm sure that Craig, Graeme and Kevin would all feel very uncomfortable about being awarded haloes! They are very human. But I do understand where you are coming from. I would also add that all across the country, in England, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as the rest of Scotland, are other hoof-trimmers doing their level best in just the same way to keep the feet of the "national herd" in good shape.

I used to be an live in funeral home caretaker, that smell of decomposing or burned flesh caused PTSD for me about 20 plus years. I am so sorry for the cows to have that happen and for you to smell it

WOW I can only remember 1 other that's was similar and that was the hoof with massive Dig Derm and there was only a square 3x3inch peice of horn left but you did save it in trimmings since. You are so needed in your area of work, Great Job Guys

Was at a farm that allows folks to enter the massive fields to hang out with the animals today. It's a place i go to somewhat regularly due to how lovely it is. Most of the time i hang out with the sheep (because the sheep there are unbelievably cuddly) and today was no different, I sat with five cuddly lambs laying around me at one point. And i Couldn't help but think about how their hoofs are doing and if they ever get trimmed- especially during the cold half of the year when they're inside, walking on soft hay all day every day.
