And It got a bit out of control. And yes it's him doing the jump. James also wrote a song about his time in Kosovo, as a tank commander, which is also very moving.

James Blunt is a former reconnaissance officer ( Captain , Company Officer ) in Life Guard Regiment in the British 🇬🇧 Army, he served in under NATO in Kosovo in 1999. Music career began after the war, music help cope what he saw during the war. Amazing artist

He had already decided to jump before he ever saw her. She was just the last glimmer of beauty and happiness that he could see, but couldn't touch or quite feel in this world. It wasn't just that one beautiful, happy girl. It was all the beauty and all the happiness in the world that he could only sometimes catch glimpses of, but could never really access for himself. Happiness for him was always just observed outside of himself in passing. He probably had trauma and isolation issues since childhood. He died peacfully, imagining at least being close to the happiness she exuded. He knew this co-opted feeling would last him only just long enough to carry him to the end. Which he had decided would be soon. He didn't want to keep going on anymore after that second-hand- happiness inevitably wore off, once again. (Fortunately, this was only a bad drug trip in James's mind and he didn't really do this.)

As most combat veterans , they believe they are on bonus time, The life they are living is a bonus time when they should have died, death happens in a second. Death is always close to combat veterans and it shows in their mentality and James Blunts songs.

He committed suicide to get rid of the pain and suffering of not being with the one he loved. This happens much to often in life. And we realized how weak and fragile we truly are as human beings. We need to look more closely at ourselves when we hurt someone. We will never know if what we said may have push them over the edge. We've felt the sting of unrequited love because we weren't good enough and if we feel it again it could very well crush us into suicidal thoughts,feelings and even actions (like what James portrayed in this video) so we gave up on dating and relationships before things could get that bad. Thank you James Blunt for doing your best to let people know what the results of constant rejection and unrequited love can do to a person after they've had enough but don't leave the game before it's too late.
