One of my favorite songs! I remember hearing, "You're beautiful," during my second deployment, (13 months in Afghanistan. ) NATO forces started to take over our American base that year. I was a young and naive, but I "felt" this song. It always takes me back.

It’s because, he’s talented, he clearly can write, and he’s a very good performer, but none of that can change how naturally annoying his singing voice is. It’s not his fault, and he’s genuinely a lovely and funny dude, but his instrument just hits the ear wrong. At least, in my experience.

I got a story to tell. Flashback to the early 2000s, my classmates and I went to the Walker Creek Ranch field trip. We stayed there for a week and my buddies and I got to meet this funny black kid, who would often sing the song "YOU'RE SO BEAUTIFUL!" day in, day out. 😂😂 One time, when there were no adults around in the cabin, he dared somebody to fight him. I accepted the challenge and lost the match after 5 seconds into the fight. 😂😂 He was cool though, and we had some laughs together afterwards. He'd shadow play in the middle of the night just for laughs. I never did see him again after the trip was over. But boy, was he funny as hell😂😅
