Monorails should be used to connect specific destinations. (business districts, sports venues, leisure areas etc.) They are generally not used as main transportation. I think the reason why you are not getting the numbers on your transportation is that your city is not big enough to warrant using any.

There are monorail/tram/street combos available on the steam workshop, iirc. In addition there are Monorail stations over roads (Very Useful), and multi-transport hubs.

For the university Metro: Rotate it 90 degrees anti-clockwise. The upper portion will look better with that facing, and you will be more easily able to get lines to it.

A couple suggestions: 1. You should probably make the metro station in line with the metro line, either by just rotating it where it is or moving it over. 2. For that monorail wye thing, there's a mod that lets you clean up the junction by only displaying the tracks that are allowed via the TM:PE lane connectors.

That one metro station is very well placed. It is just that the in-and-out nature of that branch is kind of wonky. Just use MoveIt to rotate the station so that the metros can do a through movement. The station should still be close enough to the road to maintain its roadway connection, and it would look almost exactly as it does right now above ground.

I hate to say it but a load of your public transport is going to be really ineffective and inefficient, as they all go to the same places. In the case of one subway line and monorail line, they literally stop at exactly the same places.

@Kibitz: I know you usually don't like to do this, but why don't you use highway tunnels a bit more. If your goal is a walkable city why not remove the highway to their necessary existance within the city and bury the rest under ground. There you could also make a giant roundabout underground under the whole city.

16:00 is there a way to turn the subway station 90 degrees counterclockwise? If so, then you could make it a pass-through station and have no problems with crossing trains. Also, in my opinion, the station would look better if the stairs faced the walking area and not the street.

This is by far and a way the most stunning city you've ever built. I am absolutely LOVING this new series and look forward to the updates every time. As for the metro... have you seen how chaotic the London Underground is on a map of London? It is some crazy shit, so I would leave it looking great rather than worrying about the connections. Can you add multi-story carparks in the new mod to alleviate some of the road parking or are there just single level car parks? Whatever the next stage, I can't wait to see it. Thanks Kibz

I wish we had a monorail in my city. I know that they are more expensive to build and less reliable than the metro, I know that it is a lot of noise pollution and I know that it's upkeep is an entire rabbit hole of _Oh, that's bad_ by itself, BUT: Monorails are just SOOO COOL!!
