theLordKy0 I think that might just be a feature rather than a design flaw. I noticed that pin has the smallest profile, which can be tricky to pull out. The intended way to disconnect could be tilting the connector to any direction to break the magnetic loop. I was very interested in this kind of cable, until I read about the charging time issue.

I’ve never had a good experience with magnetic cables. Especially with the iPhones, I’m sure it happens on android as well. overtime your phone's charging port wears down. The connector that’s supposed to stay in your phone will eventually start popping out whenever you rip the cord off. Essentially becoming a regular charger. Once this starts happening there’s really no point using it anymore. Really the best thing to do would be to buy one with a brand new phone that has a newer charging port so that it will stay in there and your charger port will not wear as fast. However I’m assuming people who buy these have at least had their phone for a while. Just my 2 cents :)

You can usually just buy a new "tip" and with the genx or gen 10 version, you should just bend the cable towards the front or back of the phone to disconnect. This way it doesn't try to pull the tip out or make it excessively loose. I've been using them for over a year and they're pretty great IMO.

Has been a game changer ever since. My wife has an iPhone, I have a Samsung and we also have a couple of tablets. Each devise has a different type of connection but we only use one cable to charge them all. I keep another cable in my car and one at work. I can't express how convenient it is to just need one cable and how easy it is to connect. I would highly recommend it.

Does the cable work for data transfer as well? I remember hearing how some of those magnetic USB cables have problems with USB 3.0 and up.

Net dot gen 10 is better to me than the gen 12 because the plug at the bottom isnt round. But one of the main benefits I don't think you mentioned was that you can use one cable for 3 different connector types. 4 pack of cables from net Dot were like under 20 bucks and each came with 3 connectors. (Micro USB, USB C and lightning) very convenient.

Someone I worked with had one of these, and the piece that goes into the phone eventually broke, leaving part of it stuck inside the phone. He had to get it repaired at Verizon. I think the concept of a magnetic charger is cool and convenient, but until the phone manufacturers don't implement it themselves, I'm steering clear of this.

I barely leave comments but I cannot stop myself to quote this part 10:19: "Don't do this to your phone. This can't possibly be good for the battery. BUT IT IS FUN!" LOL BTW, I like your channel and Thanks for your good reviews.

Best one so far which I loved! Aufu QC magnetic charging cable. Make sure it's label QC and it have 5 pins on the head connector. Clean once in a while with tape The connector doesn't stick out to much. You'll get used to it and not notice it at all

Quite a funny thing I already went into this rabbit hole a while back, the slimmest connector on the phone I found at the time was a TOPK cable and it worked well. I think the hi end version of this principle is the Volta cable

The only problems I ever had with all magnetic cables I tried so far and also being an engineer/Tech is that the ends of either the cable or the connector on the phone are gathering all sorts of metal fillings/rubbish from either the pocket or the surfaces I am putting it on and have to demagnetize and clean it as it may cause a short when you plug it in.
