I have TF Grey Vetiver and live in Maine. I wore it the other day when it was negative 5 degrees out. Wow it was amazing. It already smells crisp and clean but in that cold of weather the crispness was at a whole new level.

Great review...really thorough. All those fragrances sound like they would be worth trying, but Wild Vetiver is the one I would be most interested trying first. I love vetiver and have enjoyed discovering fragrances that utilize it!

I saw someone introduced you to (homme for the holidays) and it basically blew you away. Perhaps that fragrance isn't mainstream enough but it would be a nice story to tell.

I've noticed that with quite a few bottles. The first couple blasts seem to be saturated with the chemicals from the tube or something. But it always passes. Anyway, Rich Pimento is also part of the Beyond Collection. It just came out after for some reason. Pretty sure the crystal editions are more expensive though. A LOT more. A superb review Ash. Vetiver still one of my favourite notes.

Please enter me! Out of the 3, definitely Wild Vetiver is the one that stood out the most to me. The other 2 seems very simplistic like something Escentric Molecules would release and does not really justify the higher price tag they come with. So far my favourite vetiver is Every Storm a Serenade and this is definitely on the to try list!

i decided to finally pull the trigger on this fragrance after a lot of thinking. got it in the mail yesterday. but to my surprise, i find out that this smells extremely similar to lalique encre noire EDT. so much so that i've been thinking i don't want bentley anymore. as i come back to this video and hear ash talk about how it's from lalique....it all makes sense now

I really hope that the price comes down on this one because I also love Vetiver as well as Bentley fragrances (I have 3 as of now.) Id like to get into the Giveaway. I've tried some vetiver fragances, but some of them like Guerlain's vetiver smells like someone 45 - 60 years old, of course the vetiver it's classy, but i've never have smelled something too versatile.

Hey Ash I recently bought Chanel allure homme sport Eau Extreme but I'm suffering for the performance I feel is really weak, do you think is just because we are in winter time ? Probably during spring and summer performs way better ?

Bentley Intense was largely reviewed by reviewers who bought it. A $30 perfume that smells and performs like a $150 perfume is pretty hard to ignore

E.J. Wells That was a few years ago before designers were regularly sending bottles to channels and when frag channels were smaller. Also Intense is a fantastic scent so it definitely deserved the hype. But the hype was organic, not manufactured.

However based on the Bentley intense positive reviews and the Lalique connection (also positively reviewed) people would expect reviewers to review new Bentley fragrances - regardless of whether Bentley sent it to them or not. I do trust many reviewers (especially Ash) to be fair impartial reviewers no matter how they received the bottles for review.

Ashton is pretty much the only reviewer I trust to give his honest opinions. In the past he’s reviewed bottles he got for free and said they were horrible if they really were. But the “hype” is not honest as you’ll notice review videos pop up as soon as a fragrance is released. It looks like reviewers are excited to review a new fragrance when in reality it’s them fulfilling a requirement because a free bottle was sent.
