Really like this kind of wildlife management. Protecting people and their livestock.

I really enjoy the way conservation has evolved in Zim. I was PAC officer for East west...Mukumbura to Mount Darwin in the 70's. Even back then, I always thought how much more sense it would make selling problem animals to paying hunters. 40 years later, it is good to see it actually happening.

Steve Curle is the real deal. He is a good friend and I had the privilege to hunt with him on a PAC hunt like this a couple years ago. Dream come true. As a hunter I’ve never experienced anything like this and the emotionally heightened level of intensity due to the goal of seeking the preservation of life is unlike anything else you can participate in. It was a successful hunt and the feeling of accomplishment far surpassed any other hunt I have been on.

Is there a video on the hunt you did?
@mikehooperjr.7211 Жыл бұрын
Yes, there is. It’s on the hyena hitman channel. I’ll try to find the hunt. My optics didn’t record (wasn’t pulsar on that day), so the video is from the 2nd shooter POV.

Great video, like always! But I have to criticize your handling of the lions 15:00 : Don´t EVER give them the opportunity to steal meat out of the camp! And IF they do: Scare the hell out of them! They should not connect any human settlement with food. but with anger. Unless you want to produce man eaters...

That sure beats calling foxes in the UK. I enjoyed the film, but much sympathy for the victims of the attacks.

I am so glad this guy- checks out the reports and information he receives first, as people do indeed lie- I remember visiting an area with some hunter friends and the people of the village told them all these horror stories about how they were having problems with various predators who were attacking & stuff, how least 70% of the people had been attacked at some point and how they were all now living in fear and since my friends had legal hunting licences - they begged them to help- feeling for the villagers, they did what the people wanted - they were later horrified to later find out that none of the animals in question- had in fact done anything wrong, not even livestock had ever been touched- the simple truth was- the villagers had recently moved into the area and simply just didnt want the predators around so they made up stories to get the hunters to get rid of them. When they thought about it- they realised that they never saw a single villager with wounds/scars or missing limbs, nor were they ever shown any dead or wounded livestock.

@Redstoneprime Then your question about "predators are necessary" was moot, and ridiculous, unnecessary. ALL hunters know that, no exception. And controlling does not mean they have to be killed in EVERY place. Nor do they belong in EVERY place, near people. And they do not simply get wiped out by any hunters. Never once has that happened in all of history. Not even one time. Those are called poachers. Wipe the predators out near ALL places people live, with their livestock, crops. Pigs, black, brown, grizzly bears, coyotes, hyenas, leopards, lions, jackals, crocs, hippos. Like I said, people first, or animals go extinct by poachers. But people first. Bye Now. Take that wildlife hunting course. And I noticed you did not answer a single question I asked..
@i_like_to_move_it_move_it Жыл бұрын
What is the future for the hyena then? Surely they will then wipe them out from most of africa like with many of the other large predators. The hima encroauchement in wildlife areas is increasing by the day in Africa. Is there no way if managing these situations in a non lethal way?

@@abelflores3752 let’s pretend like most of Africa’s large predators aren’t endangered ey? 💀 Cheetah is almost gone, Lions are not far behind, Leopards are becoming endangered and now they’re going after Hyenas. You donkeys won’t be happy until you turn Africa into a wasteland akin to Mad max

Most African countries outlaw fire arms,so it's usually only rebels or government agencies that have fire arms.
