Exactly OKC is 8-2 with Chet which is a 80% win percentage and 19-3 without Chet which is a 86% win percentage. OKC is playing better without Chet and the fact people want to say Chet turned a .500 team to the number 1 seed the next year is just 100% false.

This game was exactly what i wanted to see from Wemby; dominant on offence when his 3 ball wasn't falling. This version of Vic is unstoppable.

This is strange. But the Wemby of March/April 2024 just came back the last day of 2024. Yesterday we saw the best version of Wemby : very agressive to the rim (and he chooses the day he was guarded by a very good center who improved a lot this season), getting 7 FT (this is the minimum) and capable of different moves to open him the shots. And of course dominant defensively... This is by far the best game of Wemby this season (even if his stats are not the best of the season; he only plays btw 25 minutes). If he continues to play this way the remaining of the season, Wemby will be first all-nba team for sure (I doubt that Doncic will get the 65 games to compete) and the Spurs will be in playin (perhaps even directly in playoff... they are not so far...). The two games against Jokic are more important that they seem to be because they will give the tempo for the second part of the season.

Vassell should be 2nd best player. On the field, he is not. No D, selfish play, unconsistent shooter. Ok he has real talent but before Wemby was drafted Vassell (and Keldon) thought they would be the heroes and in a certain way they didn't accept really well Wemby's explosion. Now they can be good 3rd option (CP3 and Wemby are more important) as Sochan and Castle (who are good in defense) bring something valuable.

To be a 3rd scoring option in a winning team, one must be a legit star of a mid-tier or a losing team. a lone star that shines night in and night out. devin was not able to do that in his first 4 seasons. he was always been like the 1a or 1b of the team but not arguably the 1. look at dame. he was super bright in portland and he was their 1 by a long distance to their 2nd option in CJ. there were times that he was up there as one of the best scorers and one of the top PGs in the league. but when paired to a top level talent he is a mediocre scorer. in order for the bucks to return to the top they must sign a top dog and will make dame just their 2nd or 3rd option. another example is Klay in his prime. He was clearly the 2nd best option of GSW in their reign but when KD joined them he became the 3rd scoring option. Vassell, has never had the reputation to be the alpha of the spurs. If that young CJ McCollum was in the Spurs team with him, Vassell will be just a 2nd option to him, imagine that. Yes he can score but he kinda looks like those scorers that doesn't really impact the game. Castle on the other hand has fingerprints all over the court and will shock you that he only scored 10 points in a game. That's how impactful he is in his young career. He can be their future 3rd option if the Spurs add a star next season. With Jeremy as their 4th best. Vassell can be their 5th best player (4th scoring option) if he accepts a bench role next season. He can be a Jordan Clarkson type to me.... at best.

Yup Imagine winning by 36 points and your 2nd best scorer only had 8 points we dont need him. The difference between this game and the previous games that the Spurs lost is they finally played Castle who is a better fit next to Wemby than Vassell anyway.
