The only two players I'm taking over wemby not factoring age are Joker and giannis. Between Luka, SGA and wemby is a toss up for the simple reason wemby is miles ahead of those 2. Wemby is more a of play finisher at this point in his career. Give him a playmaking guard who can bend defenses and wemby will average 30+. Another factor to add is that wemby blocks isn't just stopping guaranteed buckets, but he snatches most of them leading to easy transition.

You will appreciate this I got on Disney plus last night and clicked nba and the only thing it had on the entire app was the knicks spurs game animated to real life! Mickey Mouse comes off the bench for the spurs and goofy for the knicks but it’s an exact replica of the game they played this year. Super cool!!!

Wemby is in a totally different league defensively; Let’s discuss the #1 issue at this moment: shot creation ….. every player that’s arguably better than Wemby can create their own shot…. Wemby can’t smoke 1, 2, 3, defenders…. Giannis can, Luka can, Joker can ect. When Wemby can do this, he will be in the MVP conversation.

Absolutely ridiculous comment. I've seen Wemby smoke 3 defenders the other day against the twolves. Watch that dunk. Are you talking about dribbling in between defenders? Wemby doesn't have to because he can shoot over the top, but he can. I've seen it in his France games and his rookie year with the Spurs. Wemby shot creation skills are like a guard, step back 3 's, nutmegs, off the backboard slams, hesi's. He has the full bag.💯💯

That’s not what I am saying; sure, Wemby can blow past defenders, most of the league can do that, sure he can shoot over defenders…. But people will say “he’s just tall” but unlike Joker, Wemby doesn’t back down defenders and score no matter what they try to do. He’s not clutch, meaning he can’t get the ball at the end of the game and just score even if you triple team him, look at the last play in the last few games and you will know exactly what I mean. I believe he WILL BE THAT, but until he does it and starts winning games people will still say someone else is better. Let’s be clear, sometime this season he figured some stuff out and he is definitely in the hunt.

I watched Wemby play against great defenders like Davis, Giannas, Gobert, Bam etc. Wemby is way too tall to affect his shot. Wemby is clutch against the Hawks 10 in overtime, against the pelicans game winning 3, against the trailblazers game winning points, , the gold medal game in France he led the to a silver medal against the avengers, THATS REAL PRESSURE and plenty other scenarios I could name. HE HAS So many clutch blocks in the clutch in the last 5 minutes it's on KZbin. The last game against the twolves was a bone headed play call, so you think Wemby should have launched a 30ft shot with 5 seconds left. Okay 👍We will see what he does next time.

Nah. AD is like a poor man's wemby this season. they have the nearly same stats except defense. Also with doncic having a break, wemby is definitely 5th and still can argue about Tatum vs wemby. Either way 4-7th.

The top players are Jokic, Giannis, Shaï, Tatum and Doncic. Wemby is not currently part of this closed group. However he is definitely one of the leader of the next group : Davis, Embiid, Durant, Ball, Mitchell, James,... I think that Wemby is still behind Davis (his season is impressive), Embiid (his season is bad but he is currently coming back towards an MVP level) and Durant but surely ahead of all others. I would currently put Wemby at the ninth place of NBA; perhaps at the eight place if we consider that his defense is more valuable than the Durant's offense. But we need to take into account that Wemby will be only 21 tomorrow and he is a sophomore who is still making lots of mistakes (defensively and in his shot selection). All other players have played at least 7 years in the league. And the March/April Wemby should be much better than the December Wemby. He could still go up the MVP ladder. Btw I doubt that Doncic will manage to get his 65 games to be MVP candidate. We can make the assumption that Wemby is already at the fifth place in the MVP ladder.
