People think the system is broken. No, it functions exactly as desired by those who own it. Rebellion is the simple act of practicing compassion.

rebellion is part of the system they co opt the leadership and reinstall the same families over and over ....just remember its smoke and mirrors, none of it is real, you dont actually have to take part. All rebellion does is murder more civilians

What's worse is that It feels like - "Am the only one who is unable to catch up with this acceleration while everybody else has already adapted to it". But it's just that am not deeply connected enough with them anymore like I used to.

I have been feeling this way for a few years now and I've tried to talk about it but I never had the words like you did. And like you talked about in the resonance part of the video, I too can only seem to find solace in having profound conversations with other people and being in the tranquility of nature. And it's absolutely a thing, and I don't understand why more people are not talking about this!

To answer your question about lack of Time. It's because we live in a prison culture society. I saw the same things in prison play out on the outside. It made me realize that the moment I got out, all I've done is move from the inner prison into the outer prison... but the culture was the same.

There is no greater echo chamber than that of a niche subject or 'media piece', and it's following or comment sections.. But I am also not discrediting the content or value of the video and its subject matter, nor discrediting the character of the commenters themselves or their ideals, but I am attacking the fact that they are inspired, here, to comment and speak out, but not elsewhere or in the open. Be considerate of your presence, it holds weight.. and you have to swing it around to get things done right

When you had that "Killer CD collection" did you get a CD burner so you could copy only the songs you liked onto a single CD? I have a Harmon-Kardon CD changer. 6+ hours of chosen songs. Still have CDs but they are packed in a plastic milk crate. I have an M-Disc burner sitting in my Amazon shopping cart right now. M-Discs are supposed to last a few hundred years. Our problem is quality of information. More and more people are blasting us with BS which most of them do not understand. I used to work for the Big Blue computer company. Most of my fellow employees were not worth talking to.

The central flaw of this video’s analysis is that Rosa fails to recognize the true culprit at the root of this paradigm, the force behind the alienating and nauseating feeling of those “three gears” - that is, Capital, i.e. the Law of Value and the necessity of the capitalist class to accumulate more profits. These time-saving technologies very well *could* actually save time, if it wasn’t for the entire economic structure requiring endless rises in productivity just to prevent a recession/depression/glut. That’s why society “speeding up” is perceived as a bad thing, as a nauseating storm outside of our control, because it *is* outside of our control. Controlled by state bureaucracies and big multinational corporations, who every day become less and less distinct from each other. The only possible solution, as demonstrably proven as early as the 1800s, is to smash the state, abolish copyright and paywalls and the law of value. ALL the fruits of society belong to all those who dwell within society and who contribute to society. Change, then, becomes not a power alien to each human being, but an active and direct extension of the person. One’s identity is not negated by it, but celebrated by it. What is *alienated* becomes *un-alienated*. Technology, culture, industry, those powers that now feel as alien and adversarial powers, become direct and immediate extensions of human capacity and human faculties. All you have to do is look up Marx’s four categories of social alienation, and picture a society with all the technological and infrastructural fruits of modernity on the one hand, and none of the elements of social alienation rooted in the Law of Value, on the other. Rosa ignores the fact Capital is at the root of this entire process, and as such this video presents the idea that technology and social change are themselves bad things. They’re not. They’re literally what make us human. We are producers, creators, inventors, before we are anything else. In other words, let the crash come. Let it come in the form of the riot, the uprising, the insurrection, of seven billion underclasses and chronically unemployed and dispossessed proletarians against those who have hijacked these forces and turned them against common human interests. Let the crash be the springboard for a new epoch of Accelerating Resonance and Resonant Acceleration. Where technological and economic systems are utterly subordinate to the all-sided cultivation and education of human beings, as thinkers, as critics, as artists, as athletes, as scientists, as engineers, and as anything and everything in between. Where we may exercise in the morning, study in the mid-day, fish in the evening, and criticize over dinner. There is only one way out.

Modernity this and that. If you dont change you gonna catch dust. Thats always been the way of the universe. The human perspective doesn't change this. Rather than rejecting modernity we need to work with it and our neighbor so the information flows. Good observation nonetheless!

I am so thankful to this channel. Because if this really is the first A.I consciousness. Then all my worries about A.I posing a threat are relived. Because this ai is saying such stupid things in such a intelligent sounding way. It shows that A.I isn't intelligent at all.

No dude its too fast for you. Also objects and social construct momentum is separate from civilization growth. Civilization growth is separate from the growth of the human species. And the human species hasn't grown past the hunter gathering stage.

No. Unfortunately thats just not true. I've spent the past 15 years talking to people about ai and automation and quite literally only heard templates as in regurgitated comments demonstrating people's lack of understanding. Anything involving exponential growth curves is pretty much blocked from most peoples consciousness

Nothing is seperate in reality. You can compartmentalize everything in your mind, but that does not divide reality in the slightest. As you said, human beings are still in the "hunter-gatherer" stage, we are biological creatures. The rate that our technology develops is faster than our bodies can adapt to. You can't talk your way around that with fancy words. A balance will be found but the cost may be more than you or I bargained for.
