I admire the dedication to getting the shots. I realize for every wide shot of you riding you actually have to go over to set up the camera, go to a start point, ride past, and then return to get your camera... It makes for some good videos, though.

The time lapse night shots are fantastic Ed. Really enjoying following you. You are indeed speaking to a group of people that care about you! I've been in a similar position to you (solo walking for many months), so I know what it's like to feel lonely (although not in the middle of Australia!). All I could do was make the most out of every interaction I had. I'm sure you do this already. It's quite amazing how we're never quite as alone as we think we are (not in a weird ET way!). Anyway, happy travels!

Wow Ed, I can only agree with the comment before me. Your trip, your filming, your sense of adventure, and curiosity and observation and motivation are incredible. We stumbled across your videos about a fortnight ago and have been blown away. Each night my 13 year old unicyclist son & I look forward to watching half an hour or so of your travels. We are still 'in Kazakhstan' but so excited that you're now in SA (we live in the Adelaide Hills but have family on the Eyre peninsula do know that camping in the desert feeling). In this crazy stormy weather we've been wondering about you and your camp, checking your progress when it appears. Although you're alone and it's been tough, know so many people out there are thinking of you, obviously friends but also strangers whose lives you've touched. You are an absolute inspiration. Thank you for your wonderful stories!!! We'd love to meet you, so please contact us if you'd like a welcome in Adelaide.

Ed, I don't know your planned route or if you have already been warned, however, if you are going through the State of Victoria, they have recently legislated that cyclist are not permitted to operate any hand-held device while moving (ie phone, camera etc). The fine is a quite hefty AUD$376.00 for memory (but I stand to be corrected).

Lots of people here worried about can safety. OK, it's _possible_ but really, how often does can-poisoning actually happen, when the contents is beans? If it's still airtight it should be OK.
@nickc3053
@nickc3053 7 жыл бұрын
The beans are irrelevant. Its the can thats the issue and Clostridium botulinium is a fatal toxin, you wont necessarily see or smell it in the food and if the can is severely dented and rusty, then it could produce slight rips in the seam of the lid. Its just not worth the risk especially when youre out alone in a vast country with probably seldom by-passers.
