I'm 27, I've used Target face scrubs since I was 12. I moisturize my face after every shower or every face wash. My skin looks exactly the same as when I was a preteen😄 I really think people with sensitive skin should avoid face scrubs, because I hear a lot of negative effects mostly from others with sensitive skin.

Let's be honest. Many people that do their skincare because of bad skin wouldnt do any if their skin would be flawless. You wouldnt think about it because your skin takes perfectly care of itself, you mostly wouldnt feel the need to. I just joined skincare because of my acne, if i would have perfect skin i would have never even thought about it.

Same here, I'm 40 and I'm just starting out on a routine for the very first time in my life. That's because I have always had a gorgeous skin while growing up and just recently now in my 40s I've started to have breakouts, they call it hormonal breakouts or so. Ive bought a handful of face washes exfoliating and oil, vit e toner and salicylic acid toner and other spot treatments and I have no idea how to use them properly coz I learned you're not suppose to use some products along side others. With so much videos out there it can be so confusing.

Never used sunscreen daily until a few yrs ago. She's now in her 60s and people think she's only in her 40s or earlier. She claims it's all thanks to avocado but maybe it's because she's Asian 🤔

Genetics has a big part when it comes to aging. I'm Brazilian and I notice, listening to Americans talking about skincare and sun effects on the skin, that we have pretty good Genes when it comes to that :p Idk why, but it's rare see Brazilians with rough effects of lack of good care of skin. Like, Dr. Dray says that tanning for example kills your skin. Here we live under the sun cause the major part of the country has a sunny weather so we can't avoid it that much, and Brazilian women love sunbathing, and the majority of us dosen't have bad effects from it. My sister has light skin, type 3 I guess, always sun bathed her whole life and she looks young af even being like 48. Genetics 🤷‍♀️

You should do a video for teens about skincare rountines: acne prone, dry skin, and combo and hopefully reach out to them and help. The fact that her video was seen probably by many teens and they will most likely use the same products too now is scary to me. Hi I'm 48 so I was a teenager in the eighties in Scotland. There wasn't the plethora of skincare then that we have now. I had dry/sensitive/reactive/eczema prone skin even back then (now mild type one rosacea has made it even more sensitive), so I remember using the Anne French fragrance free cleanser (removed with a wet face cloth) and the fragrance free oil of olay in the pink bottle. That was it - no scrubs or fragrance, but we didn't use spf except in the Summer either. I think I used a body shop tea tree spot stick on the hormonal spot on my chin once a month, but was it. I didn't have tough resiliant skin and had to be super cautious in what I used even then. I remember many of my friends using Johnston's baby lotion as a moisturiser, but I was allergic to that (talk about a fragrance bomb lol). There is so much choice now and many affordable brands targeting teenagers, that I'm unsurprised by this routine. The Aapri scrub was very much a staple of my friends who had spots way back in the eighties, so it seems to have stood the test of time unfortunately. I've never used makeup wipes apart from cleaning makeup from my hand when I've been applying it lol. Nowadays I'm super careful what I use. I was a Maxillofacial Registered Nurse for many years with an interest in skin. I use a completely fragrance free routine and my actives are niacinamide, azelaic acid and tretinoin. This is keeping my rosacea at bay and providing some good anti aging benefits. I also use sunscreen throughout the year. Knowledge is what made the difference, which is why I wish youtube had been around back then. Unfortunately as with the internet as a whole, there is a lot of misinformation out there too, so we can only hope not too many teens copy this routine. Best wishes.

I love how no one is attacking "her" though, everyone here is mentioning how great her skin looks and everything. I mean, I was a trusting teen at one point too. I used whatever I preferred off the shelf at the store, including beaded scrubs and the like, because I assumed they wouldn't make something for your face if it's bad for it. I mean I've used exfoliating scrubs my whole life and honestly, I used to get told I had porcelain skin and so I kept using products like this and my skin slowly went downhill in my 20's. I just hope she comes here, feels the love, and takes the advice given. It's easy to just trust the products but we are here for you! Come get skin care "woke"!

I want to dieeee with that scrub and brush combo. When I was in my esthetics program, my instructor told me she once had to do an extraction on someone and there was a APRICOT SCRUB BIT IN THEIR SKIN!!! Some people can make garbage skincare routines work because of their genetics, but not me. When I worked at CVS I spent ages trying to get the kids to stop using the apricot scrubs, makeup wipes and the 🤢 nose strips. I would show them my broken capillaries around my nostrils, and that usually helped steer them away from the strips, but I just want everyone to treat their skin nicely.

Thank you and a few othe skincare youtubers for saving my skin. It got to a level where I am missing from the photo record for 5-6 years. I skipped school on picture day, I never let friends or family take pictures of me because of how bad my acne got... after creating an actually good with awesome ingredients skin care routine and following it for a year my skin is leagues better! I can go out, there are pictures of me out there again lol. I still have a few spots here and there that come up but they are tiny and far and few now!! so thank you again for spreading your knowledge!!!

Also just a warning to any Instagram users or any social media; be aware that the blue whale challenge is back and getting people’s information just by you clicking on a dm they might send you out of the blue. They have a weird blue Mickey Mouse kind of picture and they go by the name johnathan. Please be careful! Do not block them because I heard that can cause more problems, just do not open their messages and do not respond to them, just delete it from your inbox. Stay safe y’all, and again great video 💕💕

I've been watching this channel religiously. Almost every video ever. I love the content, I lovve the honesty and knowledge you've been sharing. The one thing I really dislike though is the overreaction I can usually see/hear, it's usually extremely condescending. I love the fact that it's explained why we shouldn't use some products but why in such a condescending way/tone?

Why men do literally nothing and their faces look always good and women need so many products to have a clean, moisturized skin? I don't get it

You know that testosterone is responsible for most acne and makes it even worse. thats why more boys than girls get severe acne in their teenage years and propably have to deal with HIP and scars later on. There are also many women that do shit to their face and it looks gorgeous, Obviously not for long because they dont treat their skin right, but same goes for men, it just happens not that quickly because the only benefits men have, is that their skin is thicker and ages not that quickly as women faces do.

Most men don’t put all these chemicals on our skin that’s why. No one should actually use products unless you have a medical skin condition. Other than that you’re doing more long term damage than anything.

Ohh almost all of my guy friends suffered from acne in their teenage years, or still do in their 20's and are still dealing with the scars ,is just that we dont really pay attention to the flaws men have on their faces, we accept it more than women's. That's why more women use products.

I stopped using the demon that is makeup wipes a little over two months ago and I can really tell the difference in my skin! After using a makeup wipe my skin would always feel red and stingy, I contributed that to just having sensitive skin. Now I just double cleanse with micellar water followed by a Cerave cleanser and I feel clean without the sting and redness.

Vaseline doesn’t contain any water so it’s not hydrating, but it does a great job of preventing water from evaporating from your skin. Just put it on damp skin so it has some water to lock in.
@CassandraBankson
@CassandraBankson 4 жыл бұрын
Hey dear! Great question! YES and no! Yes, you can :) BNut (technically) vaseline doesn't hydrate, it moisturizes. Hydrators give water to the skin, moisturizers seal it in or sit on top of it :) Use water or a hydrating product first, and vaseline can be used to lock that in around the eye area. Just be aware- it's sticky! xo
