Luke and Naomi, thank you very much, the new very nice Video. Batu is very Beautiful. Jalan jalan di Batu pemandangannya indah dan banyak pohon pohon hijau. Di pulau jawa banyak sekali pohon pohon kayu Jati terkenal karena robust untuk di buat mebel, juga pintu2 rumah dan ukiran2 kayu sebagai souvenir seperti ukiran ukiran patung di Java dan Bali. Juga bambu sangat robust dan tidak rusak dengan air, juga bisa di bengkokan, seperti rumah Green school di Bali. Kota Batu sekarang indah, dahulu waktu kami tahun 1989 ke Batu masih belum indah seperti sekarang. Kami waktu itu kaget, kami datang dari Jerman ke Batu pertama kali melihat pohon apple yang ada ditanam di Indonesia dan pohonnya pendek sudah berbuah. Kalau saya waktu dulu masih Teenagers masih di Indonesia senang sekali merasa bangga kalau melihat orang asing atau Bule datang di Indonesia jalan jalan dan tertarik dengan natur alam indah, adat budaya, tradisi , makanan makanan. At last Naomi and Luke are at Batu, Malang a very nice cool places. I have been there for several times with my family. If you go to Madakaripura waterfall you will be wet there and it's about 12,6 km from Bromo. You can try to go there after visited Bromo in the afternoon . The religion of the Tengger tribes are most Hindus. You can choose the Apple Manalagi at Batu or Malang. Surely you like it.

I went to Batu in 2004 when I was single man. I stayed in Hotel Kusuma Agro Wisata. It's very good hotel and you can pick apples at the back side of hotel. I went to Coban Rondo and Songoriti as well. Those places are amazing. When I saw your video in Coban Rondo I feel like flash back to the first time I came to Batu. Although there are massive changes in Coban Rondo but the waterfall is still magnificent. Enjoy our country and have a safe trip for both of you.

Coban Rondo literally means Widow's Waterfall, fall as falling water from a height. The legend behind the name is rather tragic. It started with a newlywed couple named Dewi Anjarwati from Mount Kawi and her husband Raden Baron Kusuma from Mount Anjasmara. 36 days after the married ceremony, the Javanese calls this as Selapan, Dewi Anjarwati invited her husband to visit Mount Anjasmara. His parents were against that but both of them insisted on continuing their wishes. During their journey, the couple met a man called Joko Lelono. Joko Lelono, whose origin is unclear, was captivated by Dewi Anjarwati's beauty and tried to snatch her from Raden Baron's hands. A fight broke out, Raden Baron then asked Dewi Anjarwati to hide in a place with a waterfall. Meanwhile, a fierce fight for three days and three nights occurred between Joko Lelono and Raden Baron. Until finally both of them perished. Since then, Dewi Anjarwati became a widow or rondo. The waterfall where Dewi Anjarwati waited for her husband iss named Coban Rondo, which means widow's waterfall. It is said that the large rock under the waterfall is where Dewi Anjarwati sat while waiting for her husband.

My favorite place to visit in Batu is Coban Rais waterfall, I love butterflies soo much and there are soooo many beautiful butterflies along the track to the waterfall there 😍 the best time to visit is in the beginning of the dry season, no more rain but the amount of the water is still big enough.

I really love you guys! So humble and easy going, relaxed w/ positive attitude, and unlike many foreigners, you don't try to input western ideology on other cultures and instead just appreciate them for whatever they are. I think that's the best attitude to have as a tourist. I travelled to Indonesia w/ my husband a few years back and he was so critical of everything, I still love him but I'd rather travel alone or w/ friends from now on lol

Very good and cheap too Batu have so many place which you can explore Batu is nice town and i love batu You must try Kopi Gajah very good too, i love kapal api before but i love kopi gajah right now.
