That is something I've thought about on occasion: when it comes to game preservation, what are we to do about ARGs? ARGs often rely a lot on elements outside the games themselves, so if anything happens to the places those elements come from, people in the future who might be interested in these games could potentially lose out on some vital information. Definitely something that I think should be talked about more.

1:34 I hate that, All that amazing tension, All of that power and immersion thrown out the window because of the ending the fucking teleport. while it was fine in the denesines and this version of teleporting before the attack is inresting where he builds himself up compared to the others merely fitting themselves into the area, adding the attention of you knowing whats coming, HOWEVER having the enemy teleport to your location instead of chase you down from where they came removes alot of the point and tension. IT's why security breach wasn't scary it wasn't really the character designs perfective can defintly change how they seem really, though the lighting is also a big part of it too, It's I would argue lack of enemy diversity and function. all of them teleported to your location not Ran tosward your location and Ironcally them playing by the rules and chasing you down actually adds tension as your enemy knowns where you are but you don't know where the enemy is so when running away you might run into them, which also encourges you to use your faswatch to keep track of where they're so you can see what you can get away with and not. this is horrifying because lack of information, BUt teleporting removes that, its predicatible where the monster is gonna be because they're right there it adds over exposure to them making them less scary overtime and it's just boring to be spotted, being an automatic loss instead of a high risk. Tension is built on that dynamic and this version of teleporting sucks because it removes that, I do love how later it shows why it works with the side screen only telling Radio.E(?).X-ray where your current location is, not putting him there leaving room for you to actually be terrified that something is approchanging and now having to manage the area and remember where he is. Pyro being more terrified that he doesn't know where he's coming from than when he actually sees him: 2:24-2:29

For me, a true horror or stealth experience is something that feels real as in, no cheap tricks used. As you mentioned, teleportation. l better like in games where guards or monsters move through areas like in real life. You could wait for the monster to leave the area before going in or find another area to go but that keeps moving like a real person, doesn't despawn and only spawns when it does cheap tricks. You remember Amnesia dark descent? They are parts where the monsters despawn after a certain peroid, it really breaks the immersion since they don't appear again in that area, if they would just wander around in another area and come back to the playing area, sure. That is why l believe Horror in games is cheap and scripted, it lessens the impact. And there are no sounds too, you can't hear them well unless they are really close which makes it redundant l can go and on but it is pointless, not unless someone takes these ideas and puts them to action or maybe l should try it to create it.
