Okay, so that means you're good at voice acting, character design, organizational skills, leading a group (establishing an objective and giving the group a way to get there), adaptability/flexibility when your plans don't work.....

A skill that needs adaptation, group leading, organization, and character design already when it comes to it just as a craft, but to then add on top of it the voice acting that you mentioned just makes it truly stunning. As DMing is NOT easy, even if you are doing it with all the bestest friends you have in the whole world, because in the end, you are playing God to a bunch of clowns with a mixed sense of mortality and morality, and you have to do that, while lacking the permission of most Gods, to just let a character die! As unless it's for plot or it's something to do with the player themself, you have the divine misfortune of not being able to just let them go, unless the game or situation dictates it! So I definitely agree that that is a beautiful way to put it, as it is not just a "Skill", it is a Jack of all trades card deck that is missing its Aces, but that's kind of the point anyways!!! So, TL;DR I agree with you, I was just also adding on that story writing is there too, and it in and of itself requires most of those skills, so having to have those stacked is nutty and he should be more proud of himself! Hehehe!

Reminder that this man made it out to LA using money he won on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. He could have ended up using his talents to be a writer, voice actor, or do improv and comedy sketches. He managed to land the CollegeHumor gig - primarily as a writer AND after auditioning FOUR TIMES. Years after first landing the gig, which he kept stable with consistently great performances - pitched a D&D actual play show and got some of his friends to be on it. And Fantasy High was… 2016? Seven years ago now? Sure, in some ways “making D&D a career” was already possible. But in many, many ways, Brennan Lee Mulligan has exerted a lot of grit and agency to make his dreams happen. This didn’t even cover the fundraising he did as a teenager in order to afford to go to LARP camp, or the many years he spent bartending and grinding the improv scene. This man has LORE. And more than one skill. Stick-toitiveness is a skill.
