@@meks1478 like a lot of things that were hinted at early on in Bleach originally we just thought Zangetsu is really asking Ichigo to trust him and connect with him but now that it's been revealed he really is Yhwach then thing's start to be more in depth. Old Man Zangetsu is the opposite of Yhwach in every way. From how they view their comrades and what's in their best interest and how they personally feel about them. But we also have to remember since Old Man Zangetsu is Yhwach he must also have pieces of his memories as well. But in their showings and dialogue there's something that stands out. Old Man Zangetsu as I said told Ichigo that he hates the Rain and will do anything in his power to not let that happen which is the opposite of Yhwach willingly using Auswählen on his own "comrades" Raining down its Light on them and taking their power for his own selfish benefits. Zangetsu saying he hates the rain but Yhwach seemingly loves it. But that's not all, when Ichigo was trying to get Mugetsu both the White and Old Man fused in one (referencing Ichigo's heritage) and was *crying* when Ichigo accepted his attack bcus they didn't want to be separated from Ichigo permanently. What does Auswählen do? It strips the person of their power permanently. That's the big connection right their. It's not just that Old Man Zangetsu didn't like the Rain it's that he's reminded of Auswählen when it happens and what it does to the person which strips him from his partner against their will. That very thing goes against what he wants and he clearly knew Yhwach was going to make a return. So he did everything he could to make sure Ichigo wouldn't have that happen to him Granted I'm not the only one who realized this. KZbinrs Jettro Jettro and YaboyRoshi also came to this conclusion when they saw Auswählen.

Here's the thing. Everyone pledged their entire life to Ywach, literally. And a lot of these Quincies straight up forgot that which is why I don't like how some characters are like "how could you do this to me, Your Majesty?!" when they've been around long enough to see Ywach literally kill any and every useless quincy right infront of them. When Ywach was first introduced, he straight up blew one of his soldier's heads up infront of everyone because that useless quincy screwed up. These sterniritters think they're these special "chosen ones" which is why nearly a lot of them turned against eachother out of nowhere because deep down they knew eventually Ywach would kill them when he judges them unnecessary. I don't feel sorry for any Quincy that got screwed over. They signed the contract the second they joined Ywach, they knew what they got themselves into.

No Ichigo is a Quincy so he is under Auswählen by default. You don't need to drink Yhwach's blood for him to take your power. Ichigo and Uryu's mothers died because of Auswählen.
