I know it because I played it in highschool orchestra. My orchestra teacher said in a way it was like he was composing his own funeral music since it was one of his later prices when his health was...suboptimal, and the piece is not a very happy sounding one.

I'm a huge fan of big fuckoff contraptions that could have been 10x simpler but the builder just wanted to flex, it's how I try to build my cobble gens. Start of small, understand the basics. Then learn redstone if you havent. Especially just using time repeaters. And then learn contraptions, sequenced gearshifts and youll be unstoppable

Integrated dynamics would fit wonderfully into that. Not enough packs use that and it is a nice pseudo magical way of inventory management. AE2 or RS don't quite fit in a magic orientated and/or create pack.

Every Create focused modpack to date has missed the point of create: It's meant to be relatively cheap and simple to get all the parts, and the difficulty comes from fitting them together, because they all take up a lot of space and end up with more intricate designs then what other mods fit into a single block. The recent version of create made things even simpler, with the water wheel change. Every create modpack, on the other hand, makes it three times harder to get anything and adds much more grinding for the sake of grinding. Here's hoping this one hasn't arbitrarily made all the resources harder to get or the recipies more expensive and esoteric... You haven't done that, right?

I totally get what you mean. Above and Beyond lost me after getting past tier 1. I just didn't have the energy to make so many contraptions without access to item filtering. Create really comes into it's own when you have access to the brass stuff. Full factories in the andesite age are a drag.

Haven't played in a long time but I always wished that the machines were more integrated with the vanilla progression rather than being adjacent to it. That would encourage me to build some basic setups early-game that could then be expanded. Also more like Factorio in that everything will become more automated as you progress. When I played Create, everything felt like a huge grind at first, using mostly the vanilla mechanics until I had enough brass and andesite to build an automated mining drill, which then made everything else ridiculously trivial minus the actual building.
