i've been with slipknot since day 1, and Sulfur has been one of my favorites from them since i first heard it. "stay... you don't always know where you stand til you know that you won't run away" is such a damn powerful lyric that i come back to over and over again for many reasons.

Joey did so good work in this song, it's not complex for him but patterns are so interesting and this fucking groove. Love Sid part in pre-solo. Oh, and Corey, can't skip this guy. I don't know if anyone in metal world wrote better vocal melodies than him. They are so good.

I absolutely love this song, it’s a beautiful reminder to how amazing this band is especially with the nine original members. It is a different sound from their more aggressive songs from Iowa or even their original self titled. You have a long way to go in your journey of Slipknot, but I promise you, you will find more tracks that will blow your mind. I suggest The Heretic Anthem From the mighty IOWA, to blow his mind

I'd 100% recommend doing Gematria. That's probably one of if not the heaviest tracks off of AHIG in my opinion.

I wasnt a massive AHIG fan either but when you look back at the tracks it's actually a phenomenal album i mean Gematria is the most technical song they've ever made guitar wise not to mention heavy as balls, we got 4 amazing singles from it in Sulfur, Dead Memories, Psychosocial and Snuff. If you exclude the intro there's 11 songs and half of them were either massive hits or severely under-rated. I'll admit theres probably 3 meh songs but the album has a good 80% hit rate.

Its sad that its hard to hear but if you hear the raw bass tracks, some pretty beautiful and awesome stuff happening on bass in this song, its also the last music video featuring Paul Gray the bassist if I'm not mistaken ( RIP legend, to both him and Joey. Slipknot possibly wouldn't have existed without Paul and Clown and Joey . I just started playing guitar and bass recently and I've been falling in love with Slipknot songs on bass lately. Especially some of Paul's stuff. They were pretty simple for most songs but groovy AF lol)

Corey Taylors voice is my favorite of all. If you combined half of the Slipknot songs with half of Stone Sour it would be perfect for me and a serious competition for Falling in Reverse in my personal top 3. The only reason why the “All Hope is Gone” album wasn’t as great as the first three, is because they spent almost no time in the studio together both in the writing and recording processes. At times, Joey would go into the studio, and just record whatever, and everyone would just write their parts over it.

A lot of people, including Slipknot themselves, consider All Hope is Gone to be a weak album. The back half is a whole lotta mid but the first 5 tracks and the last 2 are incredible. Gematria on its own is one of their best tracks in the entire catalog yet everyone sleeps on it
