Each song is meant to be from the POV of the character. Sol's is meant to be his life philosophy. Live and let live, but if you don't he will end you. Milia is about finding it in yourself to love yourself. She is an assassin that escaped her past and tried to start a new life, but it did not stick. Currently she is the leader of the Assassins Guild and is trying to make it a force for good. She will no longer try to deny who she is. She is a killer but that does not mean she has to be a lonely monster. Giovanna - dont fuck with her, but also are you free later for a coffee? Again more of a mood piece. She is a new character, so very little backstory or baggage, just a fun design and character.

@@geraldthegoose1685 sorry for the late reply, but this would be a difficult one to say. For me, I don't like it but I don't hate it. Thematically for Asuka, it fits very well. Both as him as a character, and lore wise. But in the sense of an OST for fighting, it is a bit weak because of the slow build-up, but without much bang when the build-up occurs. Hope that makes some sense hahaha

After strive the next game music you should listen to is from Neo: The World Ends With You. Think of every early 2000’s Jpop, Jrock and rap song melded together with a bit of Aerosmith mixed in and that’s the soundtrack. Some songs I’d recommend are “Breaking Free” “Transformation” “Calling” and “Storm” but pretty much all the tracks are bangers

Every character on the roster feels like the main character of their own story, all of them are super fleshed out and their themes are all anthems of that. This series treats its characters well fr, in terms of the fandom it feels like the fans of the main group vs the assassin's guild vs Zepp vs the jellyfish pirates etc are all different fandoms altogether but it's all the same game. You guys really should just go through all of the character themes cuz it's impossible to make a perfect brief list of the must-listens, my personal favorites are The Roar of the Spark, Alone Infection, Let Me Carve Your Way, Crawl, The Town Inside Me, The Hourglass, The Circle, Extras, and Symphony, so I vouch for all of those especially.

If you plan on doing another video on the Guilty Gear OST, the three songs I’d recommend are “The Roar of the Spark,” “Armor-Clad Faith,” and “Alone Infection.” They’re all pretty conventional by Guilty Gear standards and would make a good part two I think. Of course if you’d like to jump straight into the deep end there’s “Extras,” “Symphony,” “Drift,” and “The Circle.”

For example Sol Badguy's real name is Fredrick Bulsara which is based off of Queen's frontman Freddy Mercury. Daisuke mentioned that his favorite band was Queen.

I thought I'd do a brief breakdown of the characters whos themes you listened to for anyone curious. Let me know if you want me to keep doing these going forward. Sol Badguy: The main character. He used to be a scientist and was working on a special genetic modification program called the Gear Project with his wife Aria and his buddy Asuka. Aria died from a magic disease. He didn't take it well so he started experimenting on himself and eventually became the first Gear. Asuka meanwhile tried to bring Aria back, it DIDN'T GO WELL. She went berserk and destroyed Japan (not just some of Japan or the government of Japan or made Japan uninhabitable no there is a hole where Japan was). Glossing over a bunch of stuff because I could write that 5 page paper you asked for, there's a long ass war between humanity and Justice (Aria). Sol defeats her and becomes a war hero but fucks off to be a bounty hunter. Justice is almost revived a bunch of times but Sol always stops it, most recently it involved putting a fragment of her original soul into a magic clone of her old body and that went pretty well actually so now he lives with the clone who's kind of her own person called Jacko. He's also like almost 200 or something because he stopped aging when he became a Gear. Milia Rage: She's part of the assassins' guild who was in an EXTREMELY toxic romantic relationship with the head of the guild Zato. They were both subject to horrible magic experiments on Zatos orders, she got hair powers (and trauma) he got a shadow demon. Eventually the abuse got so bad she killed him and basically took over the assassins' guild. The shadow demon started puppeteering Zatos body around looking for a new host which she had to deal with. Eventually someone resurrected Zato but he had no memory or even a sense of self the only thing he could think of when he was brought back was the name Milia not even really knowing who it was. So the eventually meet back up except Zato is basically a new person so she's having to deal with all the weirdness involved in all that. Giovanna: She's a member of the secret service from Brazil and has a spirit dog that helps her fight. Not much info on her as she's one of the newest characters and is only really in the most recent story briefly.
