I am a yearly visitor of Europa-Park, which is still kind of the "test area" for Mack rides new ideas. A few years ago, they put a spinning car at one of the trains of Blue Fire and made test run after test run (with passengers). And after riding The Ride to Happiness for the first time this year, it was absoutely worth it. I never felt so excited before. I even get goose bumps again just for hearing the onboard soundtrack. A true masterpiece (but sadly very very sensitive to strong winds).

I was hanging on your every word about Ride to Happiness. I've never had a top 10 or even been able to say what my favourite coaster is, but for me this blew away literally anything else I've ever ridden. I've never felt like that on a brake run before! Even after riding Velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi it's still my favourite.

They missed a decent launch and an okay layout with the usual Gerstlauer issues, quite meh.

I live near Silver Dollar City, that has the first of these rides, Time Traveler. Same cars, same spinning but different layout. It easily sits in my top 5 favorite roller coasters. If I make a trip to Europe, Plopsaland and Alton Towers are top on my list of stops.

Amazing ride the ride to happiness is... Rode it 9 times when I visited Plopsaland and it was a new and amazing experience every time!

makes me think about Fun Spot Atlanta, a place mostly for little kids deciding to build an intense ground up RMC. i'd say most guests are too afraid to try ArieForce One, but if you like airtime and inversions, it's right up your alley

Maybe intense means something different to everyone but idk I did not find Ride To Happiness very intense at all. Definitely fun and definitely very unique but people acted like this was the number one coaster ever and its just not.

It's such an insane and intense ride. Untamed is still far more intense in my opinion, but that doesn't demean RtH in the slightest

I feel Untamed and Kondaa are in a tier above RTH.

It is an insane experience! Untamed is intense in terms of the relentless pops of ejector airtime. RtH is more of a consistent intensity where there's no real time to breath.

I'm so tempted to visit Plopsaland de Panne just for RtH, but it seems a bit excessive to pay the ticket price + travel costs just for one ride (unless there are some other proper thrill coasters there that I don't know about).

There's a few other cool rides, like Heidi the wooden coaster, and Anubis a smaller compact launch coaster. To be honest Rise to Happiness is unlike any other roller coaster in the world. I have very glad I visited the park just for that one ride :)

Well, I can answer my question now - it's not as crazy as X2. In fact, I was a bit underwhelmed at first since everyone had hyped it up so much, but it grew on me a lot with rerides. Shame it had a bit of a rattle (at least when I was there). Heidi the Ridey was smoother (though obviously much less extreme).

5:25 If I remember correctly Belgian theme parks are not allowed to use any chemical treatment on their water. So that‘s always somewhat complicated and it can go wrong…

It may be intense but it does not pull the most G's that record is held by Olympia Looping and Vekoma Boomerangs pulls 5.2g whereas Ride to Happiness pulls 4.5g so slightly less does not make this ride any less good as it is a far superior experience

Gs aren't everthing. Just the sheer amount of feeling so uncontrolled, seeing in diferent directions at each ride and just the overall layout and onboard soundtrack... This ride is just a masterpiece. :D
