Great video, it would be great if you could add the name of the park with every clip you use (if that doesn’t take too much time of course). You show a lot of parks, and though I recognize some, like Disney, Universal and Efteling. I’d love to discover more parks, so being able to know the names of the parks allows people to do more research and maybe even visit new parks they didn’t even know of before

What they need to do is stop putting so many rollercoasters and bring more dark rides... Hex is barely even open anymore, has been "closed for maintenance" the past like 4 times I've gone over the course of many years. Dark rides fit well within their restrictions too, show buildings can be built below tree height by simply lowering the ground a bit and they contain noise better than open air rides do (another thing Alton Towers has had a problem over for years)

Well one important design aspect that should be employed everywhere is seat size examples/test-thingies, so you dont start getting into a queue for a ride you wont even be able to ride cuz you're too tall or too wide or both for. Happened to me. It seriously fucked up my sense of self and was a prime factor for a major depressive phase for well ... basicaly until feburary this year. (So around 8 months) The park i was at was already partially using it. And it made the experience less massively depressing and more dejecting, though the highlight rides were all mysteriously missing them so i waited in the lines just to get rejected due to being too tall for one ride and too wide for another. In one case my shoulders simply were too wide, the too tall and too wide along my shoulders is sadly something i cant fix by just losing weight :I In the end i rode 3 Coasters. A Classic Bobsleigh, A Hanging coaser (had extra large seats in the back, a bit too large for me but the alternative would've been skipping out on another ride as i was slightly too large for the normal seats xD, so only slightly violently thrown around in the seat during the ride, all is well, i am very tough) and a Wildwater ride (those things with the round boats that go through a course, very fun)

Nemesis was already a good ride, refurbishment is a good idea, but I think Oblivion needs to be reworked. Since it was the first dive coaster, it feels little more than a prototype. It doesn't even do 90° and it just circles back to the station.

I'm on!y 5ft (60") I stopped going on some coasters bc even tho I meet the height requirements my head doesn't come up high enough thru some of the over the shoulder harnesses. My head n ears bang back n forth on the sides. It hurts!!! Thankfully my eardrums didn't burst but one time my hearing was muffled for a while from it n my ears are ALWAYS sore on the outside afterwards 😓

I always try to make my restraints as tight as possible. Like push as hard down as I can until I get that last click. It does make me more nervous when there's some flack between each level where the restraints rest. Like the next level is right there, you push and push and push, but no luck. You're stuck with lapbar flack for the whole ride and that extra feeling of weightlessness

Unfortunately this is exactly why I never got to ride Mr Freeze or Batman while dad was alive. I did get to ride Flashback after it was moved to St Louis as well as The Boss, American Thunder, and Screaming Eagle at Six Flags St Louis because the ride operators were lenient there and didn't accurately measure me.

I attended the park from the mid 80s up until mid 00s. I remember the bottom of the entry promenade having sealions in an enclosure. I rode the Black hole with my sister and there was zero lighting or effects, it was terrifying, following years they added lighting to the track and space men which tamed it. After a 20yr gap (my girlfriend turned wife hated coasters) I took my 9yr old son who also inherited his mum's fear despite never being on any ride. We started with the canyon thinking It would be tame and he screamed in terror the entire time. Went looking for the log flume which had dinosaur models but it had been removed as they were building wicker man. I spent the day walking around dreaming of the happy memories while trying to convince wife and boy that coasters are fun. Ended up depressed and miserable that they wouldn't even try. I now watch coasters on KZbin and just get angry.

Have to agree, Phantasialand was incredibly themed. We went there last week. Absolutely stunning, even the toilets were fully themed. The park was also immaculately clean and had some of the most appetising looking park food I've ever seen. Can definitely recommend the park to everyone. Unfortunately I had vertigo a few years ago so F.L.Y. was making me nauseous, but it was so worth it anyway. It is now my wife's favourite ride and the theming was absolutely spot on. I hope that more parks around the world take on the challenge, it's not just about records, or shifting as many people through a park/ride as possible. Immersion, memorable experiences and fun, are ultimately the most important part. Disney knew this right from the start.

The thing is: there will never be a time when they want to replace Nemesis. It’s iconic and even wheb its 100 years old there will be a desire for people to ride the legendary coaster. Like the Grand National ride at Blackpool- it’s ancient but you always have to have a go on it when you’re there

As someone who had not ridden any rollercoasters in 20 years, and who had never even ridden a megacoaster, I was in for a shock last month when I decided it was time to refamilar myself with something I really loved as a kid. My first ride: Steel Dragon 2000....in the last row. It was trail by fire. This coaster was the tallest, fastest and longest rollercoaster when it opened. And I was not prepared for that pull in the backrow as I was just thrown over the first hill and then forced down in my seat and quickly pulled over the second one. I screamed out loud. My second ride: Hakugei....in the last row. Give me a break! 😂

I always make the restraints as tight as possible whenever I ride a coaster. I don't care if it's crushing me, I just want that last little click that completely restricts my movement. Unless there's no way that I could wiggle out of the seat without the restraint unlocking, I'm holding on for dear life. Whenever I get that last click tho and I feel like I ain't going nowhere, hands free all the way

I think it's fine since roller coasters in the U.S get really, really old. And in a park with 10 coasters I think all of them will be able to pull their own weight. At Kings Island the oldest coaster I know of there is 45 years old so it's still got years ahead of it.

I was one of the first to experience Nemisis back in 1994. Before that, I'd ridden corkscrew and some other rollercoasters with inversions, but never an inverted. The ride was extreme, exciting, fast, and unpredictable. Both the front and the back offer an awesome ride experience. Little did I know back then that the terrain manipulation, having the ride dodge land, fly over the ground and dodge in and out of tunnels meant it was possibly the best hanger that would ever be made. I've ridden coasters since all over the world, including other Bolliger & Mabillard hanging coasters, and none have reached that level of awesomeness of Nemisis, not even it's sister coaster Inferno in Thorpe Park. I was well aware of the lifespan limitations of rollercoasters (Corkscrew and Black Hole) and worried about Nemisis. But they totally refurbished it this year, renewing it for hopefully another 30 years, just as you predicted! Well done, Alton Towers!
